I'm appalled that your ghastly relatives could behave in such a poisonous and despicable way towards you and your children. I would advise cutting off all contact with them, you had the good fortune to survive what sounds like a horrendous childhood intact, there is no need to expose your children to the same kind of emotional and psychological torment.

It is patently clear that you or your children are neither loved or wanted by your parents. I would go as far as to say they have total and utter contempt for your whole family. I must applaud you for the way you have held yourself and till this day maintained a level of respect within yourself and in your children for your parents.

I can totally empathise with you on this, and hope that you don't let their intolerable cruelty get the better of you.

Speaking from some experience, I would break all ties with them, not only for your dignity, but for your sanity and families general well being. Trust me, it will be the best decision you ever made.

As for your sister, I suspect that she will be forced to distance herself from you by your parents if you break ties with them, no doubt through a series of threats that will leave her financially less well off (i.e kicking her out of the house, cutting her out of the will, etc...)
