    Hello Bargainbird,
Sending you hope. Its amazing what doctors and nurses in Intensive Care can do.
    Best wishes,

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Bargainbird, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Here's hoping for better news soon

    Hi everyone

Clare - Hugs and prayers for your BIL

    It's raining again:rolleyes:

FE - how is the situation with your Dad?

Had a busy weekend, childminding (well pushchair pushing anyway), but thoroughly enjoyed it for DGt Neice + DG Nephew. M&D having alterations done, so when we brough GNc home they were in chaos after taking walls out, so got DGNw into pushchair and off we went for a walk GDNc came too. Decided they needed some more help so yesterday turned up DH in work clothes to lend a hand, and me as chief pushchair pusher, DNcIL managed to catch up a few jobs and some ironing while DNw and DH got on with more wall removal and wiring.

Today decided to do some baking, made some Twinks for the first time, a plum crumble, and a muffin mix which needs to stand overnight, together with some choc chip cookie dough for baking tomorrow or later.

Need to sit down and work out all the jobs I want to have done before we go on Sunday so that I don't forget anything.

:grouphug: to those under the weather
    Take care - DG

Clare - thank you for letting us know how your bil is getting on, I hope that the swelling goes down soon and the operation is a huge success xxx

Well kids have polished off just about everything I cooked, so not a lot of leftovers to freeze, bet there'll be nothing by the time I get back from work tonight. I'm wondering where they're all putting it at the moment, they do seem to be gaining height at an alarming rate though, won't be long until I'm the shortest in the family again!

Just had to clear up a burst binbag - had some gone off chicken in it and despite being well wrapped, some creature had got it! Maggots and rubbish were everywhere, yuk yuk yuk! Pretty sure it wasn't my cats, as they all left the kitchen in disgust when I opened the pack, and my dog couldn't have got to the bag, but whatever ate it is going to have an upset stomach I imagine! And on that note, whilst you're eating tea I shall leave you and get organised for work, sigh!

    Evening all,

Bargainbird, still thinking of you all, big hugs xx

Had a good day, i picked 4 kg of grapes from the garden, there is still at the very least another 50 kg, I made grape jelly, 6 jars, but its not quite set enough so will give it another boil tomorrow. I am going to make some grape vodka tomorrow, and I think I will have to leave the rest to the birds, I am being over run with grapes

Just had chicken curry for tea (leftover chicken from yesterday) with home made sag paneer, very nice. DD had quorn curry.

Oh is out with Little dog, and dd is in the bath, going to have some icecream now and watch eastenders :D

Steph, is that 'the new man' on your facebook ???? very nice too :D;)

    Have good evenings all
