    Hi all:j
Phoned work yesterday and told them I wont be in and why. The bleep holder I spoke to said infection control have to be infomed also and that I have o be off the 5 days while I am taking the Tamiflu......funny how my own ward sister didnt ring me back and tell me that on Fri eh:rolleyes:
Feel slightly better today but still a wracking cough and full sinuses and no energy at all....i managed 1 slice toast and half a chicken sandwich all day yesterday....not hungry at all. I think I might put an easy pan of veg soup on to simmer soon so I can keep snacking on that.
DS doesnt seem to have it as he is full of beans as usual;).....he was put to bed early last night for naughtiness...i had washed a pile of dishes and was thinking all I have to do is make his tea and my work for the day is done....only to find DS had emptied his cup of cocoa all over the dishes and the draining board:eek::mad: for no apparent reason...I have never been so furious with him....so he was put to bed at 6 30 after tea. He is also being a pain with taps and water messing with them all the time. Last week he emptied jug fulls of water out of the bath all over the floor and flooded it while I was getting his pj`s from the bedroom:eek:. We told him the kitchen ceiling would fall down so tht seems to have caught his interest and he is tryiing to get it to happen.
OH turned out to have a migraine( as i thought) and finally surfaced at about 5:rolleyes:
MSD sorry about the issue with your family and missing your nephew..you seem a very loving and caring person and they are missing something in their life..thats sad:o Am going to get some of those pepper seeds:T....I did garlic this year, planted it in nov in troughs , 3 cloves in each, spaced out but they didnt work...grew huge green shoots but when i dug them up in summer there were the cloves rotted:confused:
KJsam apparently my Dbro had to cancel the great north run due to a back injury...he was airlifted off the rigs a few weeks ago but has since gone back to work...so physically unable to do it...my mum didnt tell me he had cancelled it until I asked her how he did last night:rotfl:
Sistercas glad you are feeling better:T
Redruby In nigellas christmas book there is a recipe for chilli jelly and it looks lovely and seems easy....am after doing it myself sometime soon

:( Oh Clare, so very sorry to hear that. Of course I will pray for him and your family xx
  • NPM - hope that you feel much better soon, blocked sinuses are an awful symptom, also hope ds finds a new fascination instead of water! If it's any consolation, my ds was fascinated by water and fire at different stages! The water one was handy when I needed the floor mopped but the fire one was just frightening, if he wasn't trying to set light to stuff he was trying to touch flames to see how they felt! Luckily we all survived - though I suspect the hair dye companies have made more out of me than they would have done otherwise!

Ivy - it is a nice bake, and it's so simple, which is the main reason I like it!

Stef - is this the same Mr Potential that you met at the festival ages ago? Or a new one that you've been keeping under wraps? Nosey, me?! Glad to hear the family gathering went well. My oh still finds small children slightly alarming, in fact he has told me that he is almost definitely busy on Friday when he discovered my god daughter and her sisters are coming to stay for a night!

Sistercas - glad you're on the mend, but take the time to get better properly - easier said than done I know, especially since we all seem to live in a world of not quite as caring sharing employers as we should!

MSD - families can cause so much heartache, I hope that one day your relationship with them improves xx

Right, I've got the rolls proving, bake in moski, washing hung on line and another load in, and most importantly another cuppa squeezed from the pot! Was feeling rather happy with that lot till I got a knock on the door from my mechanic about my MOT bill - thought it'd been paid, so now need to check bank account to see what happened to the cheque, prob find it stuffed in the hall drawer, sigh! Thank heavens my mechanic is lovely and will wait till payday if necessary, only a week or so away, but why oh why didn't he tell me sooner?!
