Thanks to toottifrooti for the newbie PM it was useful.

I managed to get enough done today so as not to be too ashamed when DS brought his school friend home. Had a meeting at school this morning so was limited for time but I definitely made a good start and feel better for it. I am so much slower than I used to be though which is frustrating and I am only 41 not 80. The motivation of this thread definitely helped today and hope to have another good day tomorrow as I work tomorrow night so need to sleep on Wednesday so won't get much done.

Thanks for the motivation will look at Tuesdays list now.

Does anyone know if there a recommended length of time for airing the bed before re-making it?
I always leave mine airing until I come home from work, but otherwise I'd think at least while you shower/dress/have breakfast.

    You've all been busy today!

I've had some work done on the car (front Macpherson struts, whatever they were), been to London and made some handbags out of icing (will post pics on FB shortly) come home (the long way... trains were a nightmare but I'm trying to forget about the idiot who told me the wrong solution!) and sent my dresser and dining table off in a van. They should arrive with my parents at about 8am tomorrow! The garage is looking nice and empty :D

Parents are coming up on Thursday lunchtime, so I need to get the house cleaned up by then - they can help with the garden stuff.

Tomorrow I need to go into town to pay for the car work and pick up my spare key, and then see whether I can get over to the woodstove place to see what they've got and try to get them to come and quote (for some reason they won't come here first... I have to go there!).

And I need to get my flying done... I could go off pigpen :p Kitchen & utility (my sub for dining room) followed by bathroom and study is mean and horrible :p:p:p

I've also got to make my dad's birthday cake, and one for the school MacMillan coffee morning on Friday if possible. Reflexology tomorrow and a governors meeting on Wednesday! I really don't know how I'm going to fit everything in...

Off to take photos for FB, empty DW and see if I can get the kitchen at least ready for cleaning up!
  • I am being a good flylady and going to log off now - I have a book to order on Amazon and thats it for tonight. the do my nightime routine!!!!!!!!

  • Hi flygang,

back in from my class and I'm staying up to midnight to get Harrods Santa tickets for very close to Christmas (hopefully) so after a coffee I'll be HHC from 10.15ish? Well I need to stay awake so may as well be useful!

Anyone care to join me? :D

    Moam
Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

Might do... I've uploaded my photos on to FB (I suppose I should look into getting set up on photobucket so I can share pics with you lot!). I need to do some online stuff as well as starting to get the place tidy enough to do the cleaning!

    Here’s what I did today.

Before work: put dryer on to finish off clothes I’d dried overnight, pegged washing out, put washer on, ironed school uniforms, made lunches, got clothes ready. Most of which should have been done yesterday, really.

After work: a quick trip to the supermarket with OH to take several weeks worth of plastic rubbish for recycling and to do a top-up shop. Then tea, cleaned the kitchen sink and the worktop it’s on. Wiped appliances underneath, as well as window sill and bottom part of frame. DW on and emptied again. A small part of the kitchen is now clean and tidy – well, it’s a start.

Still need to: Clear clean dishes from draining board and wash last sandwich boxes, get clothes ready for tomorrow. Oh, and the minor detail of a couple of sets of books to mark. I might just have a drink to keep me going.

It feels good, though, to finally start taking control. Better late than never. My diet is going well, too.

Here’s my (adapted) list for tomorrow

    Tuesday ~ Bathroom
    Level One
Clean bath, loo, shower screen and sink
    Level Two
Mop floor and wipe skirting boards
    Level Three
    Clean mirror
    Empty and wash out bin

    Extras
    1. Wipe window sill
    2. clean bathroom mirror
    3. Wipe storage drawers
    4. empty all bins for grey bin collection on Wednesday
    5. wash DS2’s bathtoys
A tall order, especially since I come home an hour later on Tuesdays. At least I shouldn’t need to go out anywhere - I'll just have a go and see how far I get.

Back to paperwork now. Good night!
