"I'm feeling like a Monday but someday I'll be Saturday night" - Bon Jovi
  • Thought i'd best check in even though progress has been a bit slow today due to DS1 having some issues with using his potty properly today. Lots of wet clothes, puddles and frustration for me today, just when i thought we might be about cracked with it. Add to that DS2 puking on me because he drank too much milk this evening and was then jumping about all over me, and i have lots of washing to do tomorrow again. 2 outfits for me, 2 for DS2 and lost track with DS1. 4 i think.

I have done a few important things i needed to today:
    • posted off birthday card for MIL and DH's cousins little girl
    • ordered flowers for MIL
    • baked a cake with kids to use up manky bananas
    • washed DS1's bedding again. Almost a daily occurence at the minute
    • restocked the loo rolls in the bathroom before we ran out
    • cooked a gammon joint in the SC. Yum Yum Yum. My slow cooker is my best friend at the minute.

Manic Monday ~ Kitchen & Dining Room
    Level One
    Declutter worksurfaces
    Sweep and mop floors
    Level Two
Wipe worksurfaces and see if you can do those small appliances on the way round
Wipe fronts of units and large appliances
[STRIKE]Defrost and clean out the freezer[/STRIKE] doesn't need it so i am going to clean my pantry instead. Needs a bit of a sort through again.
    Level Three
    Clean out the fridge
    [STRIKE]Wipe the hob[/STRIKE] and oven
[STRIKE]Clean the table[/STRIKE] Also did DS2's chair his booster seat sits on. And the booster chair. Saying that. I am constantly scrubbing the dining table as they sit there to eat, draw, paint, decorate cakes ..... and it constantly needs it.
    Extras
    1. Wash windows
    2. Clear and wipe all sills
    3. Wash any blinds/curtains that are in need
    4. HHI
I also washed 2 loads of clothes, pegged out till it started raining, then brought in. Emptied my 2 big airers and put all clothes away. Hung all stuff on airers. Sorted out next load ready to put on first thing in the morning. I also packed up 2 nappy boxes with clothes and coats that DS2 has outgrown. These are now on the landing so DH can stick them in the loft for me.

I have also emptied the kitchen bin, and totally scrubbed it.

I'm not jumping for joy as i still need to do more, but i was quite impressed around the kids. It helped that DS2 had a nap and DS1 was happy to entertain himself for a while.

How i ever got anything done when i was at work is beyond me. My time is completely filled.

Hope you have all had a good day. I'll try and catch up a bit more now.

valli hope the burn is now ok.

mudders hope your DS is ok today. i really hope it is just a bug. Shame you didn't have a proper sample bottle. Would have been a bit easier for you.

Ooops I went back to bask in the glory and then realised to my eternal shame that the dining room is part of today's list and we all know the dining room is my RoD  So much as I would love a star I shall have to withdraw my claim for now

Oh well it was nice while it lasted :rotfl::p
aw honey that was such a shame I had to do something for you being so honest and owning up. :A I am the same aas you I cant claim a LR/hall star because the hall is the current dumping ground until after all the decorating is done!

hex I forgot to say earlier that i am so pleaed that you and DH too time and out and enjpyed yourselves.
Woo hoo Ive been so good at keeping on top of it!!!Mrs B xx
yes you have honey and it IS so much easier to keep on top of a tidy house once you get it under control - even I am finding that with the bits I have done.

zoe for goodness sake woman will you please rest and give your body a chance to recover from yesterday:rotfl:

Pooh oh fear thats a big problem - what about the techie board - try typing it in backwards to make them understand?
Fedup well done :T:T:T sometimes these 'horrible ' jobs are not as bad as you expect!!!

hope6804 you have a busy time with working and college so doing what you can from the lists might help you to focus- good luck with it all.

wilf you are impressing us all :T:T:T:T

SSL glad today went well - 2 looooong days - hope you wont be to knackered by wednesday. Hope DD has done her jobs - maybe that will be the way to deal with her - give her a list:confused:

jackie_w well done with the HHI - dont try to do it all at once - a little as often as you can and you will conquer it!! everything gets easier as time goes on - babysteps!!!!

have had a busy day - have tackled the bedroom as i said earlier so when the cleaner came she helped me fill the bookcases in the LR with all the books that were stacked in the BR - think I need another one:eek: we cleared and moved the writing table and 2 side tables back to the LR and a lamp and various ornaments. My bedroom chair has been returned to its right place - all the clothes have been put away - NO FLOORDROBE!!!! and the floor vacummed so a successful afternoon! we will continue on Friday as ther is still boxes and stuff to deal with.

    toots xx

ETA michelle you have done loads - well done - it is going to take you a couple of weeks to get things under control so stop being hard on yourself (as usual!)
    Peace will be mine
