Morning all. I've had about 6 hours sleep and I'm driving for 6 hours today. I have the most annoying and selfish sister in the world! She insisted on staying late at the pub last night so she could say goodbye to everyone, then we had to bring some of my stuff back from hers, then she asked me to take her to a party the other side of town at 1.30am, didn't get home till 2. We got in the car after the (lovely) meal, and I started to talk about dad's gf, saying she was nice and all sis could say was 'you'll have to floor it so we can get to the gig' - that was all she could talk about, didn't even mention dad and the gf.
And, breathe...
The gf was really nice though, better than I thought dad'd end up with. I don't mean that nasty to him, but he lives in a small village and there aren't many single women for him to meet. I never thought he'd go in for online dating agencies, but it's really worked well for him.
Anyway, gotta go now, Skegness awaits...
Good luck for today Linda (I got the right day this time!) and hope everyone else has a good day.
Snaggs, you're right, he's a nob - I'm so glad sister's moving away, I was getting sick of the get togethers where they sat and slagged me off for hours, dressing it up as constructive criticism. Now I can have my life back how I want it.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Morning all
Linda - Good luck! (you're utterly mad - but good luck anyway)
Ames - Glad you liked your dads gf and I'm glad your sister is moving away - sounds like you need as much space between you as possible....I don't know how you've put up with it all.
Bookie.....but.......what's the but for....???
Looks cloudy here today, got some garden tidying to do, school uniforms to iron and I'd like to get DH out for a walk, he can't even walk half a mile now without being in searing pain which really gets him down....will see if we can make it to the park, at least it's a change from the same 4 walls."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W.
