Blacberry vs iPhone?

  • Ta. . .I think I'm sufficiently won over :D The Blackberrys look great however just not quite as flexible when you add in all the iphones extras.

So the way I see it (please correct me otherwise) to get the best current deal is to get a PAYG from the Apple Store (get some cashback) and the current Simplicity deal (again with cashback). Activate the PAYG SIM to get the free wifi, then swap to the Simplicity to action the free wifi at a hotspot with the PAYG's number.

If I want to port the number of my current phone (or a 3 SIM's number which is more memorable), then I do have to do it at time of purchase of the Simplicity deal and online to make sure I get cashback?

    Have I missed anything?

Yes thats probably the best/cheapest way to get the iphone but i have heard stories of people not getting O2 simplicity cashback through Quidco when they've tried to port over their number at the same time...might be better to wait for a few months and then port over your number to O2.
  • Oh and one other thing...if you can afford it, i highly recommend getting the 32gb iphone over the 16gb, you'll fill your iphone memory in no time with HD movies, music, apps etc:D

Sounds a good plan. I don't think it's just Quidco though (who I used to use). I believe TopCashBack users have found the same. It's seems to be down to o2 rather than those companies.

I have my little baby Cowon D2 for music and video. It's such a cutie pie! :D

I've never really understood the big deal about multi-tasking, I can't say it's ever caused me a problem.
A problem shared is a problem multiplied. :o

yeah, i would agree now having bought the 16GB version. i forgot that when they advertise the size of the device, (16 / 32GB) it is an UP TO amount, much like broadband advertising.

if you connect your 16GB iphone to itunes when its new out the box or completely wiped of any media, you'll see that you will only have around 14GB free, so the 32GB will only have around 29 - 30GB available

youre never guaranteed to get exactly whats advertised, and dont forget that the OS takes a lot of room up too.
  • Well when they make the 2TB iphone I might have enough space. . .;)
  • For starters, a BlackBerry set up with Microsoft Exchange Server sports intelligent push email while the iPhone does not.
