  • That makes me smile Mr Cow. He wouldn't like to be called fat. (He isn't really fat, but he worries about it.)

Good on you Argygirl - in fairness he sounds as thought he knows just how to make you fall for him, and whether he's exploiting that deliberately, or without realising how manipulative he's being, it can't be easy to remind yourself that his promises aren't worth anything. It's easy to say the right thing, but doing it is a different matter, and unless he takes some kind of decisive action about what he wants then all the words in the world won't make him worth your affection. I would also be surprised if your gut is wrong about his hospital appointment - if I was facing something that serious, I cannot imagine anyone I would rather have with me than my OH, so his explanation does sound suspicious. Again - let actions rather than words be your proof and if he cannot win your confidence, don't even think of letting him use you to make himself feel better.
Good luck - it might not be easy, but it will be better for you not to live with this uncertainty.

    Argygirk, one word: DODGY

If I were you, I would tell him where to stick his flowers in and where to go with his big, fat lies..Why are you wasting your time with this loser, by the way? Just reading it is exhausting- flats, family, tax... oh, boy, and I complain sometimes....!!! I'm sorry, but you need to start taking this with a pinch of salt and stay away from his geezer...I can smell a rat, and a big one at that...

he is manipulating you big time argy girl - I can see the pattern here. From experience I can tell you that if and when wifey crooks her finger - he will be off and running - leaving you in deep !!!!!!!! you think because his sons were ok with you it means he is genuine? no - it means that he is manipulating them too! girl - you seem such a nice person and i hate to see you used.....but this guy is seriously bad news - he lies so much i couldnt EVER trust him. so why do you want to. there is someone out there for you and if you are with this old sod - you will miss out!!! but, its your life and if you do team up with old git - I will be here to help you pick up the peices!!!
