Ladies help me
I was diagnosed with the dreaded swine flu late yesterday afternoon, i feel awful and cant even move out of bed
They have prescribed me relenza which my friend is picking up for me this morning, i tried googling the info about using it during pregnancy and the nhs site says that it is fine but the actual FAQ for Relenza is saying that it hasnt been tested so they dont know the risks
Has anybody seen or read any recent reports saying that it is safe to use in pregnancy
I was diagnosed with it in my first trimester and had to use rolenza, i was fine with it, i to worried as i didn't know the risks, but the docs said its fineYou know what EA? It would be worth driving to Portsmouth just to borrow it.
Perhaps squishy, csh and I could make a day of it. We'll bring your mum some cake ;-)
Haha i can just imagine 3 heavily pregnant woman all bouncing on the trampoline and all the locals staring lol.
You wouldn't have to bring her cake, its in the back garden, just climb over the (low) fence and jump onI'll take the cake though hehe x

Thanks EA put of interest how long did it last
not sure how much of this staying in bed i can do :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Three2be i have itchy scalp too and had the nit comb out yesterday morning just to make sure :rotfl: I was clear also :j I do suffer from psoriasis though which in both my pregnancies with the girls it got a lot worse, infact with the youngest i was covered in it from head to toe  it looked awful and nothing made it go down
I always thought it must just be that but maybe its not???0 -
I'm up for a road trip! Might be a bit out of the way to collect me (north of scotland) but I promise to bring cakes!
Trying to decide what to do today to avoid houseworkI've got a really cute baby cross stitch picture which I bought a while back, but haven't been in the mood to start, or I could make some more birth announcement / thank you cards (made about 12 of these the other day). All I can say is I hope she is a girl after all
Just need to find something to do to keep my mind of the acid reflux / burning niggly pains in side.
oh, meant to say - ML: that is one gorgeous baby you have there0 -
princess platy - just my opinion but personnally i would not take it and i would not give my children tamiflu either. I would just treat the flu, rest, plenty of fluids and paracetamol for temp. If breathing was difficult then i would go back to docs or a and e. It hasnt been tested and it doesnt do much anyway - reducing symptoms by 1 day, i'd rather be ill for 1 more day than risk it. But like i said its personal opinion and i'm not a professional like the doc.0

The first few days i was pretty much dead lol. Couldn't move, so much effort just to go to the toilet, get a drink etc.
On the evening of the 3rd day i was starting to feel a little better but had to get out the house, so i went to ASDA but felt rubbish once i got back.
Staying in bed is horrible when you have to isn't it? lol x0 -

thats whats doing me in at the moment is the breathing problems, the doctors have said they wont see me because im a risk to anybody else that is in the surgery
There is a strong history of asthma in my family to the extent that over the years i have watched my younger sister go blue and stop breathing on many occassions
Luckily i dont suffer from it to badly though i did when i was little, but it does coe back slightly when im ill (luckily that isnt often) so im wondering if that is making it worse
When i went to see the MW on monday i didnt feel right but i was ok IYKWIM my blood pressure was up and i got sent off for blood tests even though my urine was fine, after they took 8 bottles of blood from me  the results came back fine im wondering now if that is why my blood pressure was up though0 -
PP- I had a virus round about week 34 and felt generally rubbish with no energy and my BP was up the whole time I felt unwell, so it could well be related.0

Thats how i feel at the moment, i was ok yesterday morning took the kids over to the shop yesterday lunchtime and by the time i got home (its only across the road too!) i could barely move and have been in bed ever since apart from toilet breaks etc :rotfl:
My friend phoned me yesterday afternoon and i was that out of breath i could barely talk she was the one that phoned the doctor i would have just suffered :rotfl:
I can still barely move i ache all over, its a struggle just to lift my head from the pillow, im short of breath, runny nose, sore throat, headache, feeling sick, no appetite, no energy at all. I dunno what it is they call it but late last night i started seeing like little flashy things all round the roomonly lasted for a couple of minutes but was quite scary
the worst thing about it is i just want to get out of bed and go and tidy up the kids have trashed the place :rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Hi Princess - I'm no expert - not anywhere near! but I would take the Relenza. They wouldn't recommend it if they didn't think it was the best thing to do. I think the risk of complications with the flu that could harm you or baby are higher than the risks related to taking relenza.
