Not sure about using a bouncer as somewhere to sleep regular kindof, i'd have thought he'd be quite scrunched up in one of them and it's best to have him lie totally flat. But then again i don't know what the modern bouncers are like even though i want one! :D

Ah you see I have a boucer can baby nap in that during day? then I could get crib for night?

Well Lily is going into her rocking seat thingy during the daytime naps.

Also i mentioned the PGP to my MW, i didn't actually say 'i think i have PGP' i just told her all my pelvis was hurting all the time and my tailbone hurts and about the shooting pains in my legs when i sit on the floor.

Her reply was "Pelvic pains are stretching, your tailbone will move out the way in labour so dont worry and use a cushion to sit on the floor"
    lol.

Well my tailbone hurts now, i dont care about when im in labour :p

Morning! Oooh I like school hols..no rushing around getting ready!

Do you think being very windy can be a sign of labour starting soon :o? I just can't stop myself!!! Woke up with quite uncomfortable braxtons and when I wiped after havin a wee there was more clear stringy goo, but I'm not getting excited. Due date tommorow and also seeing midwife. Do you think she'll examine me to see what if anything is happening? I'm convinced I've got to be a tiny bit dilated with losing show/plug ect and all the braxton hicks I have, they gotta be doing something??!

Fidget- yay for starting the ball rolling on Thursday..not long now till you'll be holding baby in your arms xx

Gisi- I haven't been told about not having toe nails painted for waterbirth but I've been told not to wear fake tan and I'm gutted, for the 1st time in years I look all pasty white!!
love my little man he is amazing :j

I agree, not sure a bouncy chair is the best way to go. Holly isn't even keen on sitting in hers for more than 5 minutes at a time. When she is a bit older, she might be more interested, but not at the moment. She does love her swing though and often falls asleep in it, but I wouldn't leave her in it too long.

We plan to have Holly in with us for as long as possible in the moses basket, but if after a few months, she has to go into the cotbed in the nursery, it's not the end of the world. We have a good baby monitor though so I think once we get used to it we would be happy with her in the other room. Moses baskets and cribs both have pros and cons. Maybe you could pick up a crib on freecycle or something so you have a choice without spending too much?

I think most people get about 4 months out of moses basket so I am hoping for that. Holly is a very long baby but still has plenty of room at the moment. It's a Mothercare moses basket I have if that makes any difference size wise.

Our pram has a carrycot (which can actually be used as a lie flat car seat too which is handy for long journeys) so baby could sleep in that too (something to consider when buying your pram maybe?). In fact, it could be used instead of the moses basket permanently. It's about the same size though so wouldn't last any longer.
  • Morning everyone. I'm feeling really grotty today so I've called in sick. Using the time to do some catching up.
Not sure who to blame, but someone was talking about scones the other night which has set me to obbsessing over them (doesn't take much!), so I've made some scones - yum.
Three - it's great to hear some positive news about your sister - hopefully the beginning of a full and healthy recovery.
Kindofagilr - I love flashforward - we recorded it on the hard drive and have only just started watching it - cue marathon tv watching session! I'm really getting into that, Trinity and True Blood - fantastic!
Beenie - sorry to hear about car problems - I always worry that I'm being ripped off as I know nothing about cars. I seem to have come up with an alright solution for now though. My local College have an vehicle section and they are always looking for cars to work on, MoTs, that sort of thing. They only charge for parts and not labour so it's quite a lot cheaper - only downside is sometimes I have to leave the car there for a few days. But I really trust them as they don't charge me if they can't sort it and so far they've been really reliable!
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Sorry to keep chipping in!! I managed to paint my toenails throughout pregnancy and had them painted when I went into labour. I used the birthing pool, and the midwife commented to me that you weren't meant to have nails painted in there. She let me away with it anyway, but she was very nice and said she had hers painted when she had a water birth! I actually thought it was more for if they had to operate or something but then that would surely be the same no matter whether you were having a water birth or not?
