Congratulations POOKIE!!! Glad everything went ok.
Always, hope your scan went ok.
I look silly now as I thought that photo of Erin was going to be really big but it was tiny! Still trying to get used to calling her Erin to see if it fits but I'm so used to calling her Noogle that it's a bit hard.
Labour vibes to Helen, Fidget Karen and anyone else who needs them, really hope you get to have your babies soon, it's soo great! Fidget - try to relax, any stress or adrenaline can slow down labour, most people's labour slows down going into hospital because they don't like hospitals but I was so glad to go in and be in expert hands that my labour just sped up!
Note on clothes: Erin hasn't really worn any clothes yet as it's just too hot and we are doing lots of skin to skin
Still no midwife visit, one was supposed to come yesterday but they didn't so we rang the number we were given and had to leave an answer phone message  Good job I've got support from my sisters and on here but would prefer someone to come check us over or whatever they are supposed to do.Mum to DD born Oct 2009

GISI - I didn't buy any newborn stuff when I had dd as to be honest I didn't know that 0-3 didn't cover that! When she came out she was only 6lb so looked so funny in the outfits with the arms and legs completely empty! I think I sent my mum straight out of the delivery suite to get newborn stuff! I wouldn't buy too many though as it's as you say you could buy some gorgeous newborn stuff expensively and they might only last a couple of weeks or if you have a biggish baby not fit at all!0

FR - I saw that monkey outfit recently while scouring the net, its so cute and I think my belly monkey needs it! Me and OH are a bit fancy dress crazy so would probably contemplate bringing her home in it :rotfl:
PP - thats how Ive had to get out of the bath the last few weeks. I have to roll over, get on my hands & knees then grab the sink and haul myself up. Not a pretty sight if Im really sore and stiff and OH has to come and help me
I think Im going to do mince, onions & tatties for tea. Nice and easy but OH will at least think Ive made an effortBelly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Hi Ladies,
I've 'lurked' on here a few times in the past and posted a few queries and gotten great support with my never ending preggo sickness that has plagued me since week 6. As of Weds this week, I'm on week 40 (whippee), sorry, have never worked out how to get my name on the list!. Just been reading all the posts of the last few days, gosh they move so fast, I'm going to have difficulty keeping up but I think you guys might keep me sane whilst I await my boys arrival soon.
Good luck to all those in similar situation to me and I hope all those who are awaiting or had scans today went well.
It has been a great comfort to read all your experiences and lists of things for baby etc, views on induction etc - all this stuff is new to me but being about to embark on lifes biggest adventure, it is all great stuff to read.
Looking forward to reading more and contributing a bit more now I'm free of work / visitors / house stuff!
