 Ask me if you have any baby feeding questions
  • Right, because I'm a bit of a saddo (see what happens when I get left home alone) I've just checked my newborn sizes to see how they vary and the results are:

    Asda- up to 9lbs
    Tesco- up to 11lbs
    Mothercare- up to 10lbs
    Gap- up to 7lbs
    Next- up to 7.8lbs

So it looks like the Mothercare and Tesco ones will last longer than some of the others.......*note to self not to buy anymore Baby Gap newborn*

    So sorry Merfe, xxx

Got the worst heartburn tonight - OH is making curry which I can't say I fancy but nevermind, at least I don't have to cook! SJ v jealous of your roast chicken...mmm, really fancy it with salty crispy skin, yum :D

Congrats Nanc - can't wait for story & pics, gorgeous gorgeous name too.

    PP wow - that's a serious bump!

My bump's still teensy - I read apparently when you're tall, which I am, it can take a while to grow a bump as there's more space in the torso for baby.

Doh Gisi I just bought a Baby Gap cardigan on eBay, in newborn! I reckon our baby will be way over 7lbs at birth, so looks like money most probably wasted!!

  • We're both tall too (I'm 5'8" and OH is 6'2") but babies tend to be around 7-8lb mark on both sides so I'm expecting a fairly average size bubs (unless I go two weeks over, I guess).

Someone at work has given me a beautiful 'Tiny Baby' outfit from Mothercare. It is probably the nicest outfit we've got, but I think there's no way it will fit out little'un. Unfortunately she's taken the tags off it otherwise I'd swap it for an identical bigger one.

Just won a girls clothes bundle on ebay, 0-3months. £1.70 with £2.25 P&P. Its lovely. Dont tell OH hehe.

I dont think we're having dinner tonight, the KFC i had earlier is still made me full. And also whenever i eat i spend the next 3/4 hours kind of burping and bringing up some of the food i just ate (tmi?)

Ooh just had an email from Mamas & Papas with a vague indication of a 30% off sale on Thursday for 4 days - did anyone else get it? Really hoping it's 30% off everything...could get the furniture set for £450ish instead of £630ish..

  • Hi I never posted on this thread before I was too scared! I just wanted to send a hug to merfe, I am going through almost the same situation. I had my 12 week scan last wednesday and there was no baby there, just a pregnancy sac (thats what the scanning lady said) which looked like it had divided into 2 but had not grown from about 6 weeks by the size of it.

Devastated is the only word I can use to describe how Im feeling and I am so jealous of all of you lucky girls on this thread! I don't know how Im going to feel on the 2nd May which would have been my due date. I have to keep reminding myself I am already blessed with two gorgeous boys.

Take care of yourself. I may return one day with happier news
