I can say that despite all my hopes, I don't think eviction plans work. I think baby just comes when he or she is ready, I've done virtually everything possible (although I have to draw a line after just one pinapple!) ive done it all religiously. I started pretty early too and I had a real sense at 37 wks that I wouldn't go much longer! Well I'm still here so he's having none of it! I did nothing with dd and I started early with her but she was born on edd.
It's nice to believe you might have a little control over it I suppose, but don't set yourself up for disappointment or feel like you've failed if you do go overdue. I did a little at first and I suppose I have built up induction (it's just 12 days here) to be the big baddy I want to avoid but I suppose it's something I will probably have to do. I reckon it's total sods law that I'd last this long when I'm in pain already grr!
On the subject of driving - I had to concede that I was doing my last trip for a while yesterday but I have got pretty bad spd and was finding it hard to twist to see blind spot and that. Mums car is tempramental too and don't want to risk getting stranded anywhere at this stage on crutches.0 -
Ahh Gisi what a little cutie your niece is! Just gorgeous
Elasti hope you're getting plenty of rest, xx
Ooh on the clothes front, I love quirky bitsI've bought a top that says 'Sleep is for the weak' for him, and I love all the Bob & Blossom clothes that have the 'Handsome' etc slogans on. Also a total sucker for baby Ralph Lauren...why must it be so cute? Thankfully eBay is my friend
I almost bought him a polo shirt in age 12 months last night, til OH questioned why I'm thinking 16 months in advance :rotfl:
Kindof I reckon I'd just go for the £199 scan, when you've spent that much anyway, what's an extra tenner?Might aswell get the extra pics! Are Babybond the cheapest people near you? There's this place that I think's local to Leeds but may have other offices, it seems reasonable & you can add on all the extras from the basic of £85...though like I say not sure if there'll be anywhere local to you from the same company? :money:
SJ I wouldn't bother going back after ChristmasIt's always such a grind to go back after Christmas on a usual year, imagine it'll only be even harder to motivate when heavily pregnant! Ooh Christmas lights, not sure if you ever go through Headingley but we were walking through about a month ago and noticed they were up! Did wonder if they're actually up all year round but we just never notice?!
WOW EA can't believe you're finishing so soon!
Kindof we'd like a jungle theme tooThinking we'd like a mural painting on though...but not sure who you get to do it? Not sure if I can get your average painter and decorator in for that :rotfl:
I've had some wonderful news todayNot sure if you'll remember but I got rid of my car a while ago as did OH & we're sharing...planned to share til March when his lease car arrived...welllllll, he did some ringing around today and has managed to get one for the end of November
SO I need only be carless for one more month :j:j:j I'm over the moon, walking around in this miserable weather is not my idea of fun! He's a bit peeved that he's not getting the car he originally wanted, but he switches after 6 months anyway so will get over it
I'm sooooo pleased, can you tell? :rotfl:

re fabric conditioner- like I say that is just my experience both me and my DD flare up with most washing powders I would never even dream of using bio, but non bio is as bad for us as it has perfumes and detergents in. Like I said you can completely ignore me as it isn't all babies obviously, I was only saying as I didn't know if you were planning on stocking up, and then it irritates the baby and you would have to get something else.
GISI- you would be amazed at what they are allowed to put in baby products of all kinds- don't just presume because something is for babies it is gentle. Some babies are just sensitive to more stuff than others.0 -

Im thinking of doing a mural to.
Well this is the idea i had for the nursery, 3 walls painted a nice crwamy colour and one wall in pink (not to pink but not to pale)
And on the pink wall im getting my stepdad to draw up an enchanted forest with some fairys, then we'll paint the forest and fairys in a greyish/shadowy colour. Therefore making the forest and fairys like a sillouete.
Then on the cream walls maybe having some nice pictures and i was going to make up some cushion letters to pin on the wall to0 -
Hey all,
Sorry to keep you all waiting. I'm begining to loose all my trust in the NHS!!!
Me and OH went to the appointment waiting for an age because they were running late!! Finally got in to see the scanner lady (SL) who immediately said your not very big for 20 weeks and I said im not im 17 weeks and she checked the computer and said no you should be 20 weeks and looked at me like I was stupid.
I hopped on the bed and she scanned me, measured the baby and said its very undersized for 20 weeks and I said again that it wasn't, she double checked the computer and said your due date is the 15th of march and I told her it was the 2nd of April and because the almighty computer said 15th March she went and got someone to double check my measurements on my scan, even though the whole time i'm trying to explain to her that the computer is wrong. So second woman comes in and looks and says your 17 weeks and I said I know I am and finally someone listens and says okay we're book you in for 3 weeks time and change your EDD on the computer. Though I did get some free piccys that i'll post later.
Stupid people.
Thank you for all the kind wishes though people, sorry to keep you all in suspense. lol
