    Hello :)

EA lovely names - I once knew a Ianto, nice guy, bit of a hippy! Zak's really lovely :)

Anyone who may know more than me - any thoughts on this sling/bag - I like the look of it but think I need someone to point out the pro's & cons to me, I'm too easily impressed by a pretty design.

Think I may have felt baby move today but not sure - felt a bit like something turning over beneath my belly button - does that sound right?! Wasn't followed by wind of anything which made me think it may have been baby :rotfl:

I got a parcel today with some boots in...presumably eBay as they're not new, with no note or anything, I've not ordered & am really confused as to where they've come from

I had a sling like that and Jack hated it - we have a joey sling now and it's fab - EA - would fit anyone!

I started on 1 cup of RLT a day at 32 weeks, then 2 a day at 34 weeks then 3 a day at 36 weeks then when I got to 38 weeks I increased it to 4 a day but a few days this week I did actually manage 5 cups as I was at home more than usual. I make up 2 cups at a time and let them go cold and add a tiny bit of blackcurrant cordial to them as I just can't stand the taste without it. I've also got a bottle of the capsules as a back up for when I run out of the bags and can't get to the shop for more straight away but I have to just swallow them as they are cos I tried emptying the contents of one into boiling water once and it looked MINGING..all brown with floaty bits in _pale_ so it went down the sink. I'm looking forward to finding out if they have any effect cos I've never tried it before now.
love my little man he is amazing :j

    eek!!!!

    Hello everyone....

Just reading from the sidelines at the mo, its v.early days for me, only 7 weeks and im scared witless or miscarrying, lost a baby last sept and i'm trying affirmations to help calm my nerves and think positively......

So just thought i'd say hi and ask if anyone has any experience to share re their pregnancy after a m/c?

Ooh congratulations :j:j I don't have any experience of a m/c personally but I'm be thinking positively for you too so you'll have little more positiove thoughts for you and baby.xx
  • Hi CAFCGirl. Both myself and Scotsgirl (and probably many more) are in your boat, although my own m/c was really early (I had only just tested positive when I started bleeding).

I am ten weeks on Monday and have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday. I haven't got a scan date yet, but live in fear that my first scan will show the baby has died. I have no reason to believe this; I have morning sickness (mild though compared to when I was pregnant with my DD), my boobs have been sore the whole time and my stomach is swelling so I look like I did when I was 20 weeks with my first! But it doesn't stop the fear. Just need to make it to the scan and I will start to believe in it.

Having said that, I have already picked up some bargains.

Sorry if this doesn't help much, but you are not alone. Really hope it all goes well for you.

EA - they say not to start until your 3rd trimester at the earliest (for safety reasons), but I think people usually start in their 30s as you start out small w/ 1 cup/day and gradually increase to where you're drinking about 4 cups/day around your DD. Glam posted her plan once and I've modified it to fit my preferences :). H&B are doing 20 bags for £1.29 but right now sale is on so is buy-one-get-one-half-price. I didn't see anything cheaper on eBay but a local shop might do. Oh and there's also tablets in case you don't like the tea.

I started at 34 weeks but it says on the box you can start at 32 weeks I think. I managed two cups a day, but struggle to get in three so I now have some capsules too so I can do half and half.

Thanks for all the labour vibes :D not working yet though. Walked round the fair for nearly 2 hours and had enough, got an awful stitch like pain in my bump and my feet were throbbing!!
Just got into my nice comfy pj's,on the sofa with a pot noodle ready for the good tv! Gonna eat my way through as much pineapple as I can too cos I did that last week then had my show so hoping it will have similar effect this time heehee.
Gisi, I've a feeling you will go before me for some reason  xx

I've a feeling you'll go before me, so one of us will be right at least! I've a feeling mine's going to be an October baby though.....no-one remind me I said that when I'm sat here at term + 12!!!

CAFCGirl- Congratulations! I totally know where you're coming from. I had an early mc before this pregnancy, and I spent the first trimester bouncing between jubilation and terror. I had an early private scan which did put my mind at rest to some extent. I guess all I can say is that it is perfectly normal to be feeling the way you are, and try and relax as much as possible as it really is the best thing you can do for you and the baby!

Lilacbelle - I know we (mothercare) have sales/promos that start just before Xmas. Some times there no better than the ones that crop up through the year, and sometimes there fab. It usually depends on the suppliers and stock availability though, not sure about other companies, but I expect they will do something.

Gisi - yeay for nct bargains, we have one here at the end of Nov, if am not working I may go take a nosey.

Glam - poor Jack, his BB looks sooo sore :( Very jelous of your joey, I so want one.

Gymfiend - I don't know why but just dont like the premax sling thinks its the depth of it, if it helps the baba sling we find sells much better and packs away better. I'd ask for more info on one of the baby wearing web sites like Natural Mamas, they really have a wealth of knowledge.

EA - your friends bubs is so cute in that outfit. Oh and cat pooh total nono so def get OH on that.

Aless - ooh good buy with the RLT may pop and get some monday as we have the day off, ooh wonder if they'll have any at Baby Show? Grr about the arnica and EPO tho.

CAFCGirl - Sorry can't help with any info on MC but wish you lots of sticky vibes xx

Beenie - I want wine, why have I never thought of those diddy bottles before. Shame about the rest of the bottle, how did bubs like it?

Well labour vibes to those in need, and sticky vibes to those girls in limbo xxx
