Hiya
So glad your sis is sort of ok 32bSounds like a lucky break this time, really really hope they start to take you seriously now.
I got the same Q at booking in about being related to OH, I was suitably mortified. "First-cousin marriages are legal in the UK but there have been calls to ban the practice because of the number of genetic defects recorded in some communities. " - from the Telegraph for you EA
EA & Kindof - I feel exactly the same, so panicked incase something's wrong, OH is the same too, says it'll all be fine and no matter what if anything were to be wrong it's already done & unchangeable so no point worrying about it!
Gorgeous cat picsI'll have to post a couple of mine now I know how!! Brother's little kitten is staying at my parents this week - he's gorgeous, only 4 months and the sweetest little thing
Kindof I'm not sure I'd take a baby to New York tbh, you must be brave!! It's a real place for walking around and seeing things isn't it, which might be hard? I love NY & was gonna take OH for his 30th next year but he doesn't want to go away without baby (am I really cruel for thinking I wanted to?!) so we're going to go somewhere else instead (pressure's on me to pick somewhere and organise as a little surprise - told him we should just not bother seen as we won't go to NY so I can surprise him). I'm thinking Barcelona?
SJ I'm so jealous your bins have been emptied - on to week 6 now here  Had to empty the bin and take to the skip yesterday - gagorific!!
Congrats & welcome Alibobsy :j
Good news Always
Kindof - sod MIL when it comes to feeding baby, do whatever you want to do and whatever you feel happiest doing. At the end of the day there are no guarantees breastfeeding will work out so what would she say then, that you were letting baby down? Stupid know it alls!
Wow, mammoth catch up!! Sat at my parents tonight, so far I've watched a cheesy film with my little sis, 'The Game Plan', can thoroughly reccomend it if you don't want to engage your brain for a bitMum's making dinner then I guess I'll go home to my lonely house! OH left this morning for London, will fly out tomorrow and be back Friday, boo work taking him away from me for 3 whole sleeps! Sad really but I hate it when he's not around, especially sleeping on my own
Can't believe it's only a wk til we find out whether we're having a boy or a girl, time seems to have flown since 12 weeks, eek, there'll be a baby here before I know it!Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -
EA - if you don't mind me asking, why are you banned from freecycle??
I hope you ladies are proud of yourselves - I am now GAGGING for a greggs sausage roll lol. Think I will have to have one for lunch tomorrow. I think theyre about 54p in my GreggsMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Ah, i forgot to mention earlier.
Called my MW again, rung for 2 rings then went to answerphone. So i called the matenrity unit to ask when my next appointment would be as i left a message on my MW's answerphone and she didn't get back to me.
And they said they not to sure why she didn't get back to me, and i said "well her phone is always switched off, maybe thats why"
And they asked who it was and i said and the woman went "thats so unlike her i called her this morning and got through" as if i was lying
So she said she'll get MW to call me back Friday to arrange my 18 week appointment. I'll be 19+5 then...
Then my MW left me a message saying that she cut me off as she was driving (fair enough) and if i have an emergency to call maternity unit and not her and she'll contact me friday.
Sigh.
Also, my sister just called. She is locked in her room in her house and the landlady laughed at her and said she cant do nothing until tomorrow evening!!
So my sister is expected to stay in her room for 24 hours without food, water and toilet until the landlady can sort it :mad:0 -

Haha, i got a wedding dress from this woman and when i got there she gave me an extra one she had in her cudboard. Well neither fitted me so i left them for ages, then one day see them and stuck them on ebay.
Next thing i know im getting a quite aggressive email from the freecycle mod about reselling on ebay (as if i do it all the time lol) and i was banned for a month
So being a pregnant hormonal woman, i emailed back telling her where to stick her freecycle. Now my email address is banned :rotfl::o
Also, GREGGS SAUSAGE ROLL!!! Just to remind you0 -
i was banned from freecycle too , i have no idea why ??? . so i just re opened a new one with new email ,Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0

LOL EA an extra wedding dress?! Surely not many people have 2 knocking around in their cupboardsBaby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0

I know! And the spare one is beautiful! Brand new with tags!
Its not one that would suit my figure though, its a straight up straight down kind of one. And im not straight up straight down lol!
I cant be bothered to open a new email. I did open one for OH to use freecycle (or freegle as it is now called) but the joining up process it harder then getting a fake passport lol. They send you a questionnare of your intentions.

EA- Thats great about feeling movement, :TI think it's something I will miss loads after!
Kindof- I still go through stages of not feeling pg until I get a good kick or try to get something from a high cupboard, but my belly is in the way.:p I think scans are good for reassurance, but the lead up can be worrying. I always find that I sleep really well after the scan cos it had been playing on my mind.
SJ hope things are OK now, I hate rowing too. :grouphug:Have a dodgy hug!
Alibobsy- Welcome back- sticky bean vibes!:T
Always - so glad all is OK, you must be so relieved!
Beenie- I'm so sorry ur neighbours are so carp
Nozza- can't help with hositals as mine only does a tour of the unit, but my GP does a course, would it be worth checking with yours?
Yorkygal, hope the MS settles down soon. With the tiredness I'm no good for anything by 4pm at work, but if I have a nap can;t sleep at night! Think u just need to bear in mind now that you need to be a bit more self-indulgent with taking things easy and cutting yourself some slack. It gets easier to do this the bigger you get as you can use your bump to good effect!;)
MERFE- Hope ev erything is OK, Friday will come quickly hopefully
Elasti- nic ejeans, I'm about the same size as you- really struggle to find any trousers which are short enough and maternity, I think they don't realise short people get pregnant too!
Kindof- I have about 20 packs of nappies and 50 packs of wipes which I've bought with vouchers and while bogof or reduced and I've got til end of Jan. Have bought a bit of a mixture just in case of allergies, and not got too many new borns in case the baby is a monster size!
Helen- Cheese and Onion pastie- my fave too.
EA- thats a point about piercings, i had one pierced but took it out last Xmas i think, now have images of milk squirting out of the sides of my nips!!:rotfl:Also, my mum isn't being very supportive at the min, so I know howu feel. Hope thigns get sorted out and she starts to be a bit better soon
Nikkit- Bf is so personal and if u've had problems i'm not surprised u r reluctant to do it again, my philosophy is I'll give it a go (my first baby) but if I cn't do it I won't beat myself up about it
Can I get involved with Facebook? I'm on it but a bit shy about friend requesting people, if u wouldn't mind it pls let me know!
May have to make a diversion to Greggs tomorrow as need to put some money in the bank...
