But I just got to thinking what if we took bean? would it be too hard do you think? cos I dont think you pay for them on the plane cos they have to lay in your arms and they would presumably just go in a travel cot in the hotel room so cost wise I dont think it changes anything
Has anyone here who has kids already taken them on holiday when baby was like 6 months?
Personally , i wouldn't take a baby that far on a plane ,
1. it may cry a lot of the flight from the pain in there ears , and as its such a long flight other passengers may not be very happy, its not fair on the baby as he/she wont know what is wrong with them and can not tell you
2. its a bustling place lots going on , lots noise ,
3. i would love to go to new york , just me and OH and have a fab time , and not have to worry about where we could go , when the baby needed feeding changing , sleeping .
4. if you were shopping , i personally would not like a baby strapped to me while i was having a good look at all the bargains , and you can have some long days and carrying all the bags ,
Thats just my twopence worth , maybe try a short journey first to see how you get on with a young baby away from home .
I did take my 3 on hols when my youngest was 17 months old , she had a little upset on the plane but she could understand why , and tell me , it was hard work while we was away too , always making sure she was ok , couldn't relax and enjoy the hol as much as we could when we took the kids away when they were about 7 ,8 and 9 yrs .Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -

Well SJ i feel you owe us to do this kind of research and also maybe a taste test !!!! I will check the local greggs in south london (Near St Georges) purley for the sake of the group and in case the any ladies give birth in St Georges and need to know.
Hope everyone is ok this morningDarling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0 -
GISI no problems about the donut! Although I was disappointed when they stopped doing the jam donuts with icing sugar on the outside and started using caster sugar instead - it's just not as good.
On the subject (still ha ha) of greggs, there is a massive greggs bakery just near me and at different times of day you can drive past and smell the different things they are baking!0 -
I don't know if anyone on here will remember me from earlier this year.
I went for the 12 wk scan at Easter and sadly there was no heartbeat.
Since then my period have been all over and I was diagnosed with anemia at one point. I started feeling sick as the kids went back to school and realised a few weeks in that I might be pregnant.
This has been confirmed by the doctors, but not sure of my dates because of the above. The MW (same one who has seen me through all my pregnancies and children-lovely lady) worked out some rough dates assuming I started with morning sickness at 6 wks. This would make me due around the first week of May 2010, which is a bit difficult as DS's bd is the 6th may and DD1's the 3rd :rotfl:.
This is my 7th pregnancy. I have had DS (11), then an early miscarriage, DD1 (6), then another loss again under 12 wks, DD2 (1), and then the sad loss last easter. Hope that means this time around everything will be ok.
Not had time to read the whole thread, but to 32b so sorry hun hope she is ok. To the lady who was having some bleeding, I've been there hun, I found with the pregnancies where I bled but was fine in the end I had period type pain, but with the losses it was much stronger pain like early labour pains.
Hope you feel better today, if you can get a scan it will hopefully put your mind at ease. Sending vibes that it will all be ok.
To all those due shortly labour vibes to you, may it be short painless (we can wish lol) and joyful.

morning all! I've had a mega quick skim through and thank you again for all your concern and help yesterday - by the time I got in from work I had worked myself up into a bit of a state and DP could see this so we called the hospital and we (me and bump not me and DP!) spent an hour hooked up to the monitor - of course within 30 seconds, the monitor got thoroughly kicked! Also the monitor was picking up lots of movement I couldn't feel so he must have just changed into a wierd position or something. Everything was absolutely fine with baby, my BP was a bit high but as I am having a midwife appointment on Thurs and also doing the home monitoring they let me go home. All the staff were absolutely fabulous and understanding, don't think much of the delivery rooms (was in one being monitored) but minor detail!
I only have 3 days left at work now so crazy busy but will try and catch up again later.
32b - relatively good news about your sister, that must be so reassuring for you all, hugs to you.0
