got-it-spend-it wrote: »EA- can you not get a clippy thing for your pass? Where I used to work you could either have a lanyard or a clip so might be worth asking. Also my eyes do not like my contacts at the moment. I think it is a normal part of pregnancy so I just wear my glasses instead as much as possible. Also :money:as I wear daily disposables!
Any news on Always?

I'm bleeding again with clots and we havent been doing any rudies this time so i've called the doctors and am waiting for the doctor to phone back. Not going in to work, feel guilty dropping them in it last minute but they'll have to find someone to cover - i'm just a bit worried they might ring my mum and ask her to go in because she will probably know why they are asking, she knows its my shift.0

I agree with others, I'd phone back up and say you need an emeergency appointment, and I wouldn't take no for an answer!!redstararnie76 wrote: »Hi,
I'm just nipping on at work, so I haven't yet had a chance to catch up with what's been said, so I'm sending general hugs if you need 'em and general labour vibes if you need 'em and stay put vibes if you don't (you get the general idea!). I'll try and catch up properly later.
I've just seen the consultant to discuss having a planned caesarean and was very shocked to be already given a date for it to take place. At the moment my EDD is 20th April, but apparently I'll be having the caesarean on 13th April, all being well, so I'll be jumping the queue slightly...
Congrats on getting a date!! I can't believe they give the date so early but it's great news for you! :TDon't read the following if having your dinner!!....
Ladies, please send me your labour vibes..I woke up this morning feeling all wet between the legs, went to the loo and discovered more of a show in my pj bottoms but not snotty green anymore, it was all bloody and quite alot of it! More came away when I wiped too. Was having mild period like cramps too, and had a clear out of my bowels, TWICE lol in half an hour. Took kids to school, came home and the cramps stopped but I've had more bloody show come away. MW was coming over this morning anyway for my homebirth risk assessment so told her. It was the really nice MW I like and have said before that I hope I get her when Im in labour. She was so excited bless her, said hopefully I won't be long starting now and could I hurry it up cos she's going on holiday on Thursday and is desperate to do another home water birth as she loves them!!She measured me as spot on 38cm (Im 38weeks on Wednesday) and felt my stomach and said he's a good size. Heart rate still 150 and BP fine. She's popping back when she finishes work with my home birth kit :T
I know I could still be waiting a few weeks yet but can't help feeling excited!!!! If I could have him before the weekend that would be lovely, so girls..please send your biggest labour vibes!! I'm off to finish off the pineapple I started last night and bounce on my gym ball! xxx
Whoop whoop!! Good luck hun, hope this is the start of a quick and easy labour for you :j
Aww I multi quoted more but it lost them!!
Muso - congrats to your OH! That must be the best news at the best time I reckon!
Always - as already said maybe best to call MW or hosp if you still can't find mw's number. So much better to get reassured and put your mind at rest. Sure everything is ok though. I know what I'd be like after your news the other day, I'd think everything was a sign of somehting not being right so maybe this is the same, but better to be checked out and have it confirmed by a professional!
Jha - sorry to hear you have swine flu! Hopefully you will be over the worst of it now though. Get well vines on their way
Mermaid and fernlie - welcome to the mad house ha ha!! And congratualtions to you both
I have my new slow cooker now!! Have a turkey joint with veggies and potatoes in it!! Just need to make some room in my freezer when it's done as out for tea tomorrow and already have tomorrow's tea in the fridge (chilli) from yesterday's lot of cooking ha ha!!
Also rearranged and thoroughly cleaned my whole kitchen today. think the nesting has kicked in anyway - just hope this continues for the next 18 weeks as if so I'll be living in a palace by the time baby comes :rotfl:
Oh yeah, lost jewellery - I packed away a silver locket that my dad gave as a birthday present to my grandma when he was about my age and she gave to me on my 18th birthday. I then moved out of the house as I left my then-partner and didn't realise this locket was packed away in a box in the cellar. I went back to pick up my stuff a few months later to find he had thrown out the entire box of stuff as it was all damp :mad::eek::mad: Totally irreplacable and so, so annoying. I haven't had the heart to tell either of them I've not got it any more
Wow - sorry for taking over the thread!!!0 -
Aww (((hugs))) MERFE, hope everything is ok.
Nikkit glad you got an appointment! I just don;t understand why they wouldn't give you that one the first time. Crazy.0 -
the doctors are normally very good at calling back, but i've been waiting half hour already, they are probably going to call when they finish seeing people - i epect 5:30 ish - if i've not heard i'll call them back again. The midwife had said to call out of hours but that was at the weekend so i assume doctors when they are open. Dont think a and e would do much anyway just refer to epu, which is probably closed now and probably what the doctor is gonna do.
doctors called haha - said nothing can be done anyway which i know - he has booked an appointment for tomorrow 10:20 to see doc and said they would book early scan then. The EPU is closed now so they can not book it. He did say if the bleeding starts getting heavy to go to a and e.0 -
MERFE- just wanted to send you big hugs. Please don't worry about work at the moment, just concentrate in yourself and your OH.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Am back home from work now, i told my sister about how we're going to struggle to do the wedding what with the baby and me being on ML and she's offered to buy her and our little sisters bridesmaids dresses and do my hair and make up for me. And also buy the fod for us (i turned that down though)0 -
Aww, that is sweet EA!
I'm being a very good girl and getting some eBaying done. I have ended up with way too much maternity stuff, and although I'll keep my old faithful bits for next time (), some of it has to go! I'm such a shopaholic!
