When did/do you all start shopping for maternity wear???

Ive just watched the Pride of Britain Awards and yup I blubbed like a good un!!! Im quite an emotional person anyway but even so to start crying within the forst 5mins is a bit soon :o:)
Opinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!! :D

Afternoon all, i just had a delicious prawn pasta and i'm so tempted to have another lol
Trying to decide if i can be bothered going for a wander to Tesco. Oil hose on the car is leaking so I'm waiting to see if OH gets it once he walks the dogs or if i'm going to have to get it and fit it(yes he is that useless).

Still can't get onto Tmobile really getting peeved off now.

On the parcel front i had problems before with them saying i was out when i was actually in, so i set a trap for them because at the time i had no car and my depot was difficult to get to so i'd have to get mum or dad to take me. I sent my self a parcel for when i was off work and every morning i waited like a psycho behind the curtains. How sad am I lol. Anyway i seen him get out the van with the card but no parcel so i ran to the door looked through the spy hole and when i seen him i opened the door saying oh good i'm waiting on a parcel parcel. He couldn't talk and tried to say he had been to the door already. Funnily enough i got all of my parcels after that.

Don't think this pregnancy is going fast enough for OH, every little thing he dose or doesn't do gets on my nerves. :rotfl:

  • Mamas and papas have a sale on maternity wear online, but I ordered some items last week have to pay £4.95 delivery charge which I dont mind too much, but have had to return some items and I had to pay AGAIN to return the items  so I'm not ordering from them again, especially as one of the items I had to return were jeans that still had the security tag on so couldnt try them on properly and couldnt keep them with the tag on !

Madwoman – I ended up having to be lying down as I needed extra pain relief, but I had planned to try being on all fours, and also kneeling up with arms on headboard of the bed. This gives you extra support, and if you get tired, you can crouch down a bit or get onto all fours. I tried out squatting in the antenatal class, but it gets tiring on your legs pretty quickly!!

EA/Gymfiend – I never felt any proper kicks until about 22 or 23 weeks. I didn’t feel any flutters before that.

GISI – hope you are feeling better today, but don’t worry about crying. Just wait until you give birth and your hormones are really all over the place! I cried every day for about 2 weeks and have only just started getting back to normal. Partly due to traumatic birth (need to do my birth story!) and normal baby blues.

Come on Csh - hope you are with your baby now and everything has gone well. x

    Hello Ladies!

Well today I hit 13 weeks! Yeah! I had my scan on Monday and then we announced our pregnancy to everyone! Do you think its to early for us to buy baby things yet? My mum has bought tonnes of stuff already but we haven't personally.

This morning i was bent down to tie up my shoes and i kept sicking up in my mouth(sorry tmi), it only stopped doing it when i sat back up again. How weird is that. Lol.

Had a bad dream last night that OH didn't want to be with me, and i couldn;t get hold of him to talk. Then when i finally did see him, i kept saying that i loved him and i know he loves me and we're having a baby so can we get back together. But he was being really uninterested. Then he decided we would get back together.
I woke up really scared and had to feel for him in bed so i could have a cuddle  I keep having dreams about us breaking up :(

I haven't felt any kicks or movement yet, im 18+4. I keep getting worried, but alot of people have said they didn't feel kicks/movement until 20 weeks +

Sounds like acid reflux EA - damn pregnancy ailments!! I've been getting that a little bit too.

I used to have dreams all the time that Dh was gonna leave me or I couldn't find him or I was trying to talk to him but he didn't care about me any more! Weird cos it's just not something I think / worry about when I'm awake!! I do still have them sometimes but not so much. And I do the same, wake up and need a cuddle before I can get back to sleep!
    Morning ladies!

I managed to have a rather comfortable nights sleep at night cos i had the brainwave of rolling up a blanket, securing it with elastic bands and then using it as a body pillow which i found mega comfortable and best of all free! :money:

    .
That's a great idea! i have the lidl body pillow which I love but all the suffing is already moving outwards from the middle section where I'm holding it between my legs!

I thought i felt the baby move the other night, but when i thought i felt something i would lay still and concentrate, then would feel nothing except my heart beating lol. And then when i relaxed and nearly fell to sleep i thought i felt something again, and kept repeating that pattern :rotfl:
You probably are feeling it! They say you feel it earlier with subsequent pg's becasue you know what it feels like (i.e. not becasue you CAN actually feel it earlier) So it probably is it. When I first started feeling it I wasn't sure, then when it got a bit stronger and more often I realised I had been feeling it a while!!

But it was only at just before 20 weeks that I was sure.

Gymfriend - thanks yes I am feeling a bit better today. Still off work cos don't want to pass it on and i want to make sure I'm recovered before I go back. Done lots in the house this morning too though so feeling better about myself than I did yesterday.

I also had a big blow out with DH last night about how I need him to do more, so he's done lots today too which is great.
