:rotfl:It's meant to be for down there lol
Anyone ever had to deal with mental health problems that is able to give better advice than see your GP. Went to pick up DS and my mum is in tears and my sis is really bad and no one is giving them help just saying they will try to sort something out, but thats all we ever hear and they have made it apparent that they will not take her in to the psychiatric hospital as "she isn't hearing voices". Which leaves us what? we have no idea all we ever get is call your GP, GP just says She is looking into it but has done nothing. They won't change her meds as "we don't want to make her unstable"HELLO she isn't stable now thats the effing problem.
I literally feel like all we can do is organise her funeral it's getting harder everyday to keep her calm and now my mum is in a state too shes not sleeping and has started to be sick and choke all the time and is struggling with her diabetes etc and all the doc said was we could give you sleeping pills, like she would take them with my sis being suicidal!!!
Sorry just upset
Oooohhhh! lol. Thanks :rotfl:
And i have no adviceBut not to sure if you would want to do this but have you thought of writing a letter to your local PCT or someone similar?
Just to say your not happy with whats being done and no-one seems to be doing anything, etc.

We are looking for a changing unit with drawers but are having trouble finding anything cheap enough. Looked on ebay and gum tree but nothing near us and most don't have drawers they have shelves.
Ooh thanks for that elasti - the 3 big things I have left to get are mattress, pushchair and car seat.
My OH has said he's going to ransack his dad's garage for wood and make a top to go on top of a chest of drawers we have already but just need sanding and repainting, might be an idea??0 -
Evansangel - I stupidly thought I'd be young enough for young mum toddler groups when I had dd but I was 23 and way too old. Luckily I saw the age before I went to one lol they were under 21s back then.
When I had DS and midwife came for home visit she gave me a list of all the local toddler groups and baby bounce etc, it was really useful. So would be worth asking. Netmums is also really good for info and so are local surestart centres. My son goes to preschool in the same building as our surestart centre and they do the baby weigh ins there, have toddler groups and midwife appointments there.
I want to go to an aquanatal, how did you guys find out about it? did you just ask at your local pools?
mazcabs - over the counter thrush remedys are not licenced for sale to pregnant women but if you go to the doctors he may give you something on prescription if necessary.0 -

Here is the link to the 10% code i used go grab some bargains before the 20% and tripple points runs out. It is on selected nursery items.
I don't have a chest of drawers we could convert but my father in law could make us a top cot changer to go over the cot bed but then there is still a storage problem. This is my signature!0 -

.
Well on the babyexpert website, they have a young mums forum, and i had a nosy to see how young they meant and there were people that were 26, so i assumed i am to a young mumlol.
I think its 14-19 at this drop in, they deal with loads of things, such as benefits information and job finding etc. But only for 14-19 year olds. Which isn't fair cause im 20 and i dont understand the benefit system lol.
I might need to go on benefits when im at uni and i dont understand any of it lol x0 -
I am considered a young mum at 28 here. All my friends i have made since ds started school are at least 10 years older than me. Only one is 2 years older than me and one is 3 years younger than me.This is my signature!0

aless - just spotted your how to get to aquanatal post. I don't drive (have a licence but not driven for 10 years and am big wuss about learning again, dp keeps trying to get me to try tho!) so don't know if this'll help but it's about a 10/15 min walk from Carshalton station
merfe - I looked on the web at local leisure centres and found a couple of classes. If the web doesn't have enough info on, try giving them a ring directly. I wouldn;t have been able to get to the daytime classes but if your midwife says its good for you, you might be able to wangle this under the paid time off for antenatal care from work - I know we had a bit of a rant on this thread a while back about this but everyone is different.0 -

OMG!!!! Elasti you are a star!!!!! Can get the xlr with the car seat for just over £300 and then nearly £37 of points too. The full price in mothercare just for the pc is £245!!!! Will see what dp says when he gets in as am not 100% sure where we are up to in solicitors bills at the mo. Argh, he'll be home in just over an hour, better get promised wintery warming casserole in oven for our dinner.0 -
Hi there
just popping over from Parents Club thread... can just about keep up with that so dont get here much..... anyway this time round I've just started to suffer with thrush and wondered if anyone has any tips for getting rid of - sorry for TMI as well...
Depends where your thrush is, you can get it in your mouth, nipples or down below! I get it down below and before pregnancy always got the cannesten capsule as that was the only thing that worked but you can try the pessary and cream. Also try things like eating bio active yogurts and also letting the area air out a bit when you can. I have it at the mo but can't get rid of it as they wont let me have the capsule or pessary so just on the cream, it's prevented me doing perineal massage which is a bit annoying,.Mum to DD born Oct 2009
:j DS born April 2013 :jBreastfeeding peer supporter with the breastfeeding network. National breastfeeding helpline 0300 100 0212. Ask me if you have any baby feeding questions :question:0
