Yokygal - I have been using bio oil since about 12 weeks and so far no stretch marks (I keep asking OH to let me know if there are any I can't see!) I am not sure it is because of the bio oil but I am happy with it and psychologically felt better using something.

I have to say since I stopped suffering from morning sickness (at 17 weeks) I have (and still am) enjoying my pregnancy. I have been feeling pretty lucky that I have only put on a stone and a half and it is just a tidy bump in front (IMO). i just get a bit uncomfy at times and sleep at night is never peaceful! I figure if that is the worst that have to complain about i'm really lucky :)

Re: stretchmark lotion/cream. DH keeps telling me to buy cocoa butter and I keep telling him that it's not going to make the ones I already have go away!! He says he only keeps saying it b/c he wants me to be happy, but I think he's bringing up because he secretly thinks they're hideous (which they are, but he's the sort that will tell me I'm beautiful even if wearing a bin bag). A) it's far too late to start; B) if I'm going to get them, I'm going to get them and all the creams/oils in the world aren't going to stop that. Like I enjoy being reminded of them!?

    (lol, mini-rant over...)

    afternoon everyone.

I'm feeling a bit better today, not so anxious although I'm still going to the toilet more than I need to just to check but no bleeding, just need to relax a bit. I might check my bp when I go to work later just make sure its not high.

Mrs tradition - i'm 7 weeks too and no bigger I dont think yet, 4th pregnancy. The last pregnancy I was in maternity clothes because mine were already tight before I got pregnant. At the moment my trousers are still falling down, I had lost a stone but not quite dropped a dress size so mine are a bit baggy. I expect I'll be in them by the time I have the scan.

I still check for blood everytime I go to the loo and I'm 35+5! I think it's perfectly natural to feel like that, but really good news that you've had no bleeding since Saturday so hopefully you can relax a bit.

Can anyone recommend a moisturiser to try and minimise stretch marks - or are they a load of old tosh :D

I've used bio-oil throughout, and although I do have stretchmarks (got them at about 32 weeks, I think) they are quite light compared to some I have seen, and i'm hoping they'll diminish when I've had bubs.

Did you get a free sample of Palmers stretch mark cream in your Bounty bag (or might have been Emma's Diary bag)? That was quite good, but not so good that I've gone out and bought it :rotfl:.

Well, there's nowt like the threat of guests to get you cleaning. My Grandparents just called to say they had some stuff to drop in and I've blitzed the downstairs! It looks fab and I only spent about 40 minutes on it! Think that's my cleaning done for today now, what with my blitz of the nursery earlier too.

My Grandparents are so sweet- they live nearby and know that my Hubby has the car for work all week so I'm a bit stuck at home. They keep offering to get me shopping and do stuff for me- my Grandad's nearly 90...I should be doing stuff for them! Luckily I live walking distance to a Co-op so I can always pick up bits and pieces but it's so sweet!

I ordered bio-oil from amazon and it arrived today. Thank you whoever mentioned using it on boobs as well as tum as I hadn't thought of that - doh! Although since the worst of my stretch marks from the last time are down my inner thighs I might well have to swim in the stuff lol! :D

I got sick of the bio oil getting everywhere so I bought a spray bottle from boots and put it in there. It's still a bit messy but easier to apply.

I stayed off sex for a while then when we did do it I bled again so went into hospital and got diagnosed with cervical erosion. Got told not to have sex for a few weeks then try again but still had bleeding on and off after that (too much straining on the toilet seemed to set it off :o) so been off sex for ages now even though haven't had any bleeding for a couple of weeks. Planning on doing some soon though to get the labour started!

I cant use bio oil - or any oil. I hate the feeling of it on my hands. It makes me feel all icky and yuk lol. Only way i can describe it.

I have some mama mio massage oil at home, i make my sister give me massages when i see her (she's really good at it, she should go into that at college i think) and OH is allergic to some of the ingrediants in the massage oil :(

GISI - im like that, when i have people coming round i really tidy lol x

Got another question on nappy's how many wraps do you need i have six(i think) but was wondering if maybe a few more in newborn would be a good idea?

You should only need to use these one a day, so I have five for new born and five for size one.
Although I am not sure I will need the size 0 as the size 1 is from 8lb.

I have needs too - OH didn't want to as he thought he would hurt the baby. We don't make love often but more than when we first found out. It makes it a bit more interesting trying to find positions that don't squash me, bump Jr or him lol :p
I think you need to do what you are comfortable with though - your OH should understand
