  • Kind of - it's never too late to join :-) pop over onto the thread and post what your budget is and what's left for rest of month and I will see you over there :-)

MERFE - I have been bidding for a bundle too and got out bit lol - wonder of was us hehehe. I am trying to buy things monthly when I get paid rather than nearer the time when I have to have them now.....

Re names, I prefer Tara of the two suggested, Lily was said a good for toddler and in 25 years time - that's a name I love. In fact , there's loads I love but I bet when the time comes we can't decide!

Ahaha the whole not naming your baby is you know an animal named that is kind of similar to my, i wont name my baby a name, if i know a horrible child with that name lol.

Its like the name is cursed or something :p lol x

I have something similar happening at the moment, our front runner name is also the name of one of OH's good friends. He is in the army and starts a tour of Afganistan today. I have a horrible feeling that if something bad was to happen to him, the baby would have the same name and people would think we named him for OH friend IYKWIM????
    Its totally irational i know!

lol csh you gave your opinion and you were honest, nothing wrong with that.

DD may also have been abi but OH was put off when his sister went into a big rant about how everyone with that name was nasty and horrible. Now OH is really kean on Abi again so I'm really looking forward to telling SIL if it is a girl, please let it be a girl otherwise I'm gonna be stuck with theodore logan lol.
  • Tara is a good now and later name to :)

I think it meant mainly names that are made up :)
It mentioned Scarlett to, but i didn't think that was a made up name.

We have Lily for a girl, and no boys names, so knowing our luck im having a boy lol.

Yeah we have something similar in our (extended) family, if someone names there baby a name of someone in the family there is alot of moaning saying that they 'copied' them, or bragging that they named there baby after there child! :rotfl::rolleyes:

So i have made sure that none of my familys name are on our name list lol x

CSH, sorry to hark back to an earlier chat, but I was frustrated to hear about short-staffing meaning that you might not get offered a sweep.

I looked it up in the NICE guidelines and it specifically says women at 41 weeks plus should definately be offered one (I think that' a few days yet for you?) Anyhow, just thought that might be useful for you to know! :)

  • Feeling very sorry for myself today (headache, very little sleep, pathetic all over really, mind you beats a day in the office by a long shot!) so thought I'd come and say hello and catch up.

Whats this - squishy, csh and harley still with no news?!!! whatever next!

Have done a bit more clothes shopping - think we now have enough 0-3 month babygros for quite a bit plus mil's neighbour and a lady at work have given me some bits. As little one seems to have been small on the last 2 scans, wondering if I should get some newborn / small baby ones too??

Does anyone know of somewhere good for snowsuits - debating a skiing holiday late this season and I am wondering if mothercare ones really will be OK in the Alps? Not that I will be skiing much but if it's a hol with some of the usual mob, we'll have a few baby sitters hopefully so might get a few hours in.

Mrs tradition I'm not going to bid on anymore maternity clothes so you can go ahead, I will have plenty now. I have 4-5 pairs of trousers and a couple of tops and this bundle had about 7 tops and a couple of pairs of jeans so should be plenty. Had a couple of jumpers which will be good for feb/march time and t-shirts which should last right through to may when its warmer.

Kids new wardrobe came yesterday so OH spent the evening putting it together. They only had the baby wardrobe and chest of drawers so I was running out of space, this one has drawers underneath too so I'm gonna put their school uniforms in the drawers. Supposed to be getting a new chest of drawers to match it but that hasnt arrived yet. We are going to ditch the old wardrobe but the chest of drawers had a changer on top so OH is gonna put that back on and will use it for the baby to start of with.
