  • mmm, yesterday's labour vibes didn't work, sorry harley and squishy and csh. will vibe harder today!

will also work harder at housework today - failed miserably yesterday and DP not back from his boys weekend until this evening so should even reap the benefits of a clean flat for a few hours. Off to meet a girlfriend for lunch though so I'd better crack on with it this morning.

Dilema - think have changed mind about pushchair again! Played with the maclaren xlr and xt in John Lewis yesterday and friend I was out with agrees on my niggle about the handle height of the xlr and thinks I will be better off with the xt (there's not a lot in it but I am only just 5'1") - and quite rightly she did say I'd be using it more than DP so I should get the one I am most comfy with. Plus out and about in town there I did see there were a lot more xt's so it must be easier on transport. Any inspiration /advice anyone??

Not really Always, but I would go for the height that you were comfortable with rather than OH. (Does that make me mean?!)
I knew the exact pram I wanted and we went to the shop to try it out with the frame I wanted and it was far too big for me, I'm the same height as you, I looked like a wee kid pushing its sibling lol
OH took one look at me and said Eh, no, and I ended up with the same pram on different smaller frame.
Don't know if this helps lol

When i've had mine they have been in the day assessment unit on the antenatal ward, if you ask at the hospital reception they normally point you in the right direction.

I just wanted to ask are you having it at 28 or 16 weeks?

When i had ds i was tested at 28 weeks but last time i was pregnant the midwife said something about them testing at both times as it picks up some people who have it earlier. I suppose the midwife will explain at the booking in again, still have not heard from the midwife team when that is going to be.

Elastigirl could the DAY be the day clinic in the hospital, mine has one and i seen them filling out the appointment for someone and they put day in the where box for her so perhaps it's the same where you are! HTH

Yes i thought it meant a day ward but i don't know where that would be lol

This may seem odd but there isn't a reception at my hospital. There is a sort of help desk which is really just the hosptial leaque of friends volunteers but you tent to have to know where you are going so they can just give you directions
There is one at A&E but that's no good as that is of course just for A&E.
I think i will just have to get there early and go to the
antenatal clinic and ask there i bet it is up on the antenatal ward. I can't believe i haven't been told, I thought i was having it on wed as i have to go back then also and there would have been time to ask.

i'm having it at 28 wks my dad is diabetic now so i didn't have to have one with my first. Thanks.

Welcome to all the newbies! Sorry, pregnancy brain prevents me from remembering & naming you all :o. Settle in, get comfy and tell us all your pregnancy woes :). I joined from the very beginning, too so it's rather a release to be able to talk about it with other pregnant women when you've not told the world yet! Don't know why the ladies on TTC were so snotty - they were lovely back when I was posting there, but some seem to be making up the rules as they go along. Don't let them put you off from posting - we're happy to answer questions that we can about preg testing and so on!

Aww, Squishy it sounds like you had a lovely day yesterday! What a sweetheart to take you out for a nice day before bubs arrives. Big labour vibes again for you, csh & harley!! Something sticky's keeping those babies in! :rotfl:

Fitz & lil miss, thanks for popping back to tell us about your little girls! Holly looks so huggable in those photos.

Managed to exhaust myself yesterday with too much housework (wow, I feel pathetic!) so deffo going to take it easier today. Just gotta do a small shop and then hopefully can veg for the rest of the day. Even being naughty and skipping church, oops.
