so glad you and your boys are happy.
i never had cafcass involved as social services were recomending a residency order in favor of my mother, i had to fight them and then my mother said my ds should stay with her, but as like your ex it was all about the money with her too. i fought my case with out a solicitor when we went to court as the solicitor i had seen said that i should let my mother have residency then fight for access, felt very let down dy solicitors.

My first solicitor told me that because I'd left the marital home (taken to hospital by my parents as I was hyperventilating after yet another verbal attack from xh) there was no point going for residency or even access :eek:, he gave me the form to fill in but refused to go to court with me. I changed solicitors at that point and it was the best thing I ever did!! I have to say it cost me £000's and £000's but I'd been left a lot of money by my grandparents - and this was why he wanted residency as he thought he'd get most of the money and keep the family home. The judge saw it differently though and everything was 50/50 much to xh's disgust :T. It was at about that point that he had enough of ds2!

I think you should change your solicitors!!!!

Hi All - the update on the situation with my battle to get more access to my daughter is that my ex keeps telling the court that I am heavily drinking and that I have lost my mind!!!!!!!!!!

Therefore the Court had to get CAFCASS involved and they recommended that I have hair strand testing and a psychiatrict report (at a cost to me of £3000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I had the hair strand test done and that has come through clear and I had my appointment with the psychiatrist on Monday!

I just think it is unbelieveable that because my Ex implies things to the Court then the whole case is put on hold until I DISPROVE all his allegations.

Thing is, I don't know where his allegations will stop - surely the Courts would see through him but they don't seem to!

I am just hoping that the report from the psych comes through fine (hey - you never know nowadays!) but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't

Everyone around me think it is ridicuolous that I am having to go through this crazy process because of my ex's allegations!

But I will fight and fight and fight for my little girl!

Hi All - I thought I would update you all on the situation. FINALLY the courts have agreed (well decided) to increase contact and basically ignore my ex's concerns and silly issues.

I went to Court this morning and my previous contact was 10-2 every Saturday in a contact centre - now contact will stay at 10-2 for 4 weeks but we can leave the contact centre - after the 4 weeks - contact increases from 10-6 until 5th November where we go back to Court.

The Magistrates also agreed to add telephone contact to the Order - Monday - Wednesday and Friday evenings at 7pm along with an Order that a "Diary" be made and passed between myself and my ex - so when I collect her on an Saturday morning - he has to give me a diary of any important events that happened in her life throughout the week,

I cannot believe that I have finally got a result - after a long, long, long time and a long hard battle to disprove all the threats and rubbish - the Court have finally seen through the "parent alienation".

I hope that this gives other people hope and all I can say is that if anyone wants to know more - please ask and I will fill you in with the more finite detail.

    Best wishes to all

    FAR xx
