  • Brace yourselves folks - it's nearly April! We're feeling fairly on top of things - just spent today chasing down the last few unresponsive suppliers and now have confirmations for everything. How's everybody else doing?

P.S. Those of you who received my planning spreadsheet - I hope you found it useful!

Well, 3 weeks and 2 days to go for me, I'm starting to get a bit antsy about the whole thing now. I'm getting scared about the whole standing-up-in-front-of-people thing! Once that bit's over I'm sure I'll have a great time... :D

Working on the music for the disco at the moment, am making a 5 hour long single track that can be played on my iPod - using Audacity to flow everything together. It's sounding great - the best mix I've done so far is Cheryl Cole 'Fight for this Love' into Editors 'Papillion' - you wouldn't think they would go together but they do!

I think the only things I have left to do are to finish the placenames, do the table plan (once we get all the RSVPs) and get DF to buy some shoes!

  • OMG! I've just realised we fly to St Lucia a month today!

We tie the knot on the 29th though, and there are just 8 of us. I might end up getting married in my knickers though! I have had IVF for the second time and thought there was no way it was going to work... and yep I'm 5 weeks pregnant now and will be nearly 11 when we get wed...but we wont find out if its twins until the 6th April (There's a high chance as I had 2 top class embryos transfered) so the dress would need to be chopped and a lace up back put in if it is! I really don't care! Alternitively I might just pick up a dress from monsoon as it would be more practical and cooler than a full gown.

The evening reception is not until June 5th so I'm not in a panic yet as loads of time from when we get back to sort out bits and bobs.

I've just realised that none of my summer clothes are going to fit me for the Weddingmoon as I've put on a lot of weight during the treatment, which I am unlikely to lose in a month... Oh dear! Guess what I don't care!

Right now I'm having amnesia and deja- vu at the same time. I think I've forgotten this before

    That's fantastic news - Congratulations x
Somewhere on one of the wedding threads there's a link to maternity wear - it might have been to do with a pregnant bridesmaid - that might be of help?

Fantastic news Winky! Many congratulations to you both. I think your attitude is great - who cares about little details like clothes when you've managed to get pregnant :j

Hi cleomolly - I alternate between thinking - not much to do and too much to do!!!!
My partners final fitting for her suit.
Patch test for my partner and then eye lash and eyebrow dye, facial for me at beauty salon
Trip to Derby to see Brother in law to be in a power lifting comp (whatever one of those is!!!) and at same time drop off flower girl boleros etc.
Get out all the balloons/pull bows/flowers from the spare room and pack in to boxes.
Finish the favours (if the cases arive in time!!)
My partner needs to finish making the stained glass candle holders for the centre pieces.
Dye my hair and have it cut.
Sort out clothes and pack for the weekend.
Do shopping (as we're staying in self catering lodges!)
Go to cheese shop to choose cutneys etc to go with the cheese.
See my nephew in his easter show!
Trying to cram everything we need to take to the lodges/venue in to a Yaris!!!!!

Think we might be packing it in a bit!! Hay-Ho! Who needs sleep!!!

  • Thanks for the links Jooles. The bjorn & me site has a couple of not too pricey options, but I am too late for the Ebay ones from China, unfortunately.

    Wow you are busy!

We've ordered the rings, got OH & my brother a suit...er that's it really so far. Booked a couple of bits with the resort, but still need to buy 2 bridesmaids dresses but they'll be off the peg jobs from debenhams, and both size 10 so shouldn't be any drama.

Cleomolly- I wish I was off work from tomorrow, but no such luck.

    Where has the time gone?

  • Just need to choose some music for church and pay for stuff now...

Tried on my dress the other day and omg I've gotten chubby round the middle and it was really tight :(
Mum's going to let the waist out for me a bit. Oops.

Also found out that when start my A&E rotation in a week and a half they want to have me finishing a week of nights THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING!

    Evil soul-less rota harpies...
    Married Ajichombo on 17th April 2010 :j
