Hi Shellsuit, thanks for replying - had seen some of your posts on here, all very helpful! We're getting married on 16th Oct. Ceremony and reception are at the same place - all reserved just having to wait a while to meet with their wedding planner to finalise the arrangements and pay the deposit. Once that's done I think it might feel real! Good point about prices , hadn't thought about that but makes sense with VAT going back up to 17.5% in Jan - even 2.5% makes a big difference!

Have you booked your appointment at the registry office yet to give notice of you wedding? If not, then do that asap, because it's no good having a venue booked but with no registrar to marry you there lol xx

That's right, but you can still ring and make an appointment earlier than your wedding date.

    It's a year today for you isn't it?! x

Tell me about it! I was meant to go to a 40th house party tonight, but we want to go Christmas shopping tomorrow, so I didn't go to the party so I'd have a clear head in the morning. OH took the baby up, put him down and fell asleep himself, so I've watched the telly and had my tea on my own. So much for a cosy night in, I should have just gone the bloody party  he better get grovelling when he wakes up!
