Oh that's awful, I'm sorry that happened to you :(

Great news about the dress though! What style did you want and what did you end up with? xx

Thanks. I am now looking on the bright side. The car is gone, but the wedding still has to be planned (laptop or no!)

I had been convinced for years that I wanted a red corset and ivory skirt. However, I found that a small busted lady like myself couldn't have got away with the style. I have now gone for a white, empire (I think) strapless affair with a burgundy sash that trails to the floor with the train. I still keep the colour scheme. It'll be a nice suprise for the OH.

1 year for me today too!!

I got some flowers and a bottle of my fav wine! Oh & Dominos, yum yum lol :D

what thoughtful partners we have - i got an itunes voucher too, didnt think to get him anything though, we dont normally do presents on past anniversarys so didnt think hed bother.

Anyway keeping in theme with your original reason for starting the thread, so far we have

    booked registrar
booked + paid deposit for ceremony and reception venue
    my dress
    bridesmaids dresses and cardigans
    MOH dress
tiara (actually have three but have finally decided on one now!!)
evening invites (doing email invites for day guests)
    booked photographer
    favour boxes and ribbons
    table confetti
little gift bags for children and a few of the things to go in them
    little bridesmaid photoframes for gifts
have sorted flowers as a friend is doing them for me.orrowing veil or not having one
    dj included in hotel package

everything apart from photographer has been very mse!!

wow ive done more than i thought!!

my biggest problem is trying to decide what we want for table centerpieces, what to do about cake - have had an offer by friend to make cupcakes, but also thought about m and s, but also have tried some fantastic cakes at local wedding fair and not all have been that expensive, especially if we just do a fancy cake for the day guests then get cheap cakes for the evening.

and what to do about cars, have had an offer, but OH would like a nice car!

  • I have now provisionally booked the venue having gone round last night to have a look and falling in love with the place.

I have also just rang the registrar's office who said there was one slot left, right at the time I wanted. So I have just secured the booking on that!! Fate. :o

That means, I can officially say I am getting married on the 10/10/10! Woo. :D
