We are hoping for 16th October 2010......you are all sooooo way ahead of me! We have found our perfect venue but we need to book it (and barter them down a fair bit!!)
I haven't even started trying on dresses yet - i really want to BUT i am going to join the gym and do 6 months hard slog to drop at least 2 sizes (from 16 down to 12) as i do not want to be a chunky bride - thats just me but i dont wanna look back on my pics in years to come and regret being lazy!!
We are having Autumn colours and have thought MAYBE rust and ivory as MAIN colours......no definites though!
So the only thing i have booked so far is 6 months at the gym!! Oh and i have had a mooch around a craft shop to see how cheaply i can do my own invites and seating plan jobby.....
I do have a few "wedding ideas" picture folders on my PC to help when i do get to the stage i am buying stuff though if that counts.....?!Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

Hey you haven't done too bad considering you haven't set the date in stone yet! :T
I need to lose weight too
I had a baby in May this year (he'll be 19 weeks tomorrow!) and need to shift the baby weight!
We've got a family holiday booked for the middle of July next year so I NEED to be good and stop eating crap. Failing that, come January I'll only be consuming Diet Coke and maybe the odd carrot :rotfl:
Would you be having a church or civil ceremony?? Big wedding/small wedding? Loving the colour ideas! I only have one bridesmaid which will be my daughter (she will be 12 when we get married) so once she decides what colour dress she would like, I can get cracking on other stuff that can be co-ordinated!
Keep popping by ~ I love reading about other peoples plans!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Hiya - i shall be having wedding in our local church - it is so twee and cute - now the news is out about us getting hitched, i have already been offered free bell ringing after the wedding and free flowers in my colour scheme to be done in church (on pew ends and everything!) done by the local W.I ladies!! Also, one of the WI ladies is a professional cake maker and she has said she can do my ideal cake for only the cost of ingredients...bless her!! http://www.flickr.com/photos/42221007@N07/3931755647/ want this but without the "Too big WHEATY" stuff on top lol!!!
This bouquet has the perfect colours i think.....rusty-ish! Love it!

I think I'll be an October 2010 bride. That's if any of the venues I've contacted bother to get back to me!
I've just started my little wedding planner book and also have a folder on the computer with pics in so I think that does count for something!
I'm going for Burgandy and Ivory (I think) and have seen a fab dress on Milly that I need to show my mum for her opinion.
I might sound really naive (as I haven't been to many weddings, okay, only one) but there's a lot more to this wedding lark than I originally thought! Thank god for this forum. How long til pay day?

Hi Ladies
We're getting married on the 9th October 2010
We were going for 10/10/10 but realised we have been together 13 years to the day on the 9th
We have sorted the church, and need to sign contracts for reception venue
We did a budget of £6000 not including our Honeymoon but I went and booked a holiday for May 2010 so it's been decreased :rotfl:bigmomma051204 wrote: »We are hoping for 16th October 2010......you are all sooooo way ahead of me!
