lol, i know what you mean all weddinged out! i have spent the week between christmas and new year sorting suits, and bridesmaids, and my shoes, ties shirts, rings and all the little things like guest book. so was a bit fed up with it, until i went back in to monsoon today as is now 70% off and picked up a wrap for me £12.50 instead of £50 and some very gorgeous purple shoes and cardigans for bridesmaids. Nothing like a good bargain to spur you back on!! and won a wrapor shrug on ebay for £5.57 - for my sis (normally £70) wish i could wear it but it will be too small, and the monsoon wrap is gorgeous 100% silk.
trying to get as much as possible done before feb as i study with the OU and all of that will kick in then, only want the things i really cant do left until after then!getting married: 02/10/10

I had no idea what you had to order so I'm confused now.
I know I need day and evening invites, RSVP cards but what else? Do I really need a table planner? Menu - this isn't decided until 3 months before so if I ordered my invites soon do I risk the same design for my menu planner thing not being available? (I am one of the easiest people to sell to so would easily buy it all for a quiet life but can't afford to obviously).
Ah! Plus, my OH has now said "order something plain and simple". Don't get me wrong I'm not girly so flowery invites are out anyway but I wanted something with my colour scheme at least. Oh to have some inspiration or imagination (I have none so this wedding lark is very hard ).
Plus, on an unrelated note if my laptop doesn't start playing nicely I am going to throw it out of the window!!!!
We found some plain white invites in the borders closing down sale £1.20 for 8 and I'm planning on adding a satin ribbon down the left in my colours with a diamante ribbon buckle. I'm hoping I can use the ribbon to hold some info eg map, hotel information. My OH put an event invitation on facebook for the evening but I will do some 'proper' invites for people not on fb. I'm not bothering with RSVP cards as the day do is fairly small and only family and friends who all know my number! Also not doing a menu - they're not getting a choice so don't see the point. I have seen some good ideas for table planners on various websites and they don't look too difficult (famous last words). I think if you are having a formal sitdown meal a table plan is a good idea or it could be chaos come time for everyone to sit down.
There's a really good site called pure invitations where you can get some good ideas and the prices don't seem too steep.0 -
