We have decide if push comes to shove we will only stick with the essentials
*£800 to pay off the venue
*Bridesmaid dresses (2 adults and 4 children)
*Groom and ushers (4 ushers)
If we can afford then wine for the tables, photographer and videographer in that order.
Is there anything else we 'need' ???
Can the ushers not wear suits of their own? You could save money there.
And bridesmaids, do you want them all in matching dresses? If not in particular, you could save money there by hunting down cheaper different dresses in the same colour.
Rings, yep you need rings lol!
Are you getting married at the venue? Payment for registrar, don't forget about that!
Flowers?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

I forgot to add rings to our essentials list
What type of rings are you looking for? We went for Palladium, it looks and is a strong as Platinum but a fraction of the price. My ring was only £95 and hubbys big fat fingered one was £300 (its bleeding big BTW) Its got its hallmark but decent jewellers are selling them as 'pre-hallmark' price as the prices are not yet reflecting 'precious' metal prices.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
Good idea there Franny. The OH is looking at having a titanium ring and I am having white gold to match my engagement. But palladium could be nice alternative to titanium - bit more shiny!2010 is the year of bargain shopping! Time to money save, exercise and plan! I like to keep busy0

My engagement ring is also white gold, the jewellery shop was good and explained there is a risk of 'wearing' to the 'softer' metal, that being the white gold, but also said that is the case even with the same metals as some wearing will be expected, but I don't wear engagement ring every day as I work in a hospital and the alcohol gel was damaging the white gold. I chose palladium as its so hard wearing.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

My colour scheme is brown and orange so I'm guessing not a lot of them will have brown ???
I'm going down the church route, but may even change that to save on cars etc and do it all at the venue
And oops!!! I had forgotten about flowers:heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -

I will also find out nearer to the time if there are funds in the budget to make me permanent :j
That takes a lot of pressure off

£150 cheaper infact for the DJ and over £100 for the chocolate fountain
