Hi All
Can I join please I am getting married 30/10/2010...:jyou are all way ahead of me from the looks of things
So far we've booked the venue, although some rejigging needed as registrar couldn't do the time we wanted.
Have booked giving notice and have a quote for my cake.
I also have my evening reception venue sorted as H2B's sister runs a venue we can have for free and also knows a DJ and caterer.0 -

:hello: to all the new brides to be
I am stuck as what to do next
I still have to source;
*A DJ,
*A chocolate fountain,
*Wine for the tables (because we are not paying £11.25 per bottle for the Wedding breakfast) I may have a look in the Sainsbury's or Tesco's thread because I'm sure around about this time last year there were some mega deals on
*A photographer, although I have given up at the moment
*OH knows what he wants in the way of Morning suits etc. but won't go shopping
*I need to have a look for bridesmaid dresses, I have no idea what I want for them or what they will want
*I know what type of flower girl dresses I want, so just need to go and find a shop that stocks them
I still need to send out our 'Save The Date' cards they have been sat here over a month
I also need to finish the invites, 1 down at least 35 to go
Is there anything else I need to do just yet???:heart2: 'Tied the Knot' Saturday 9th October 2010 :heart2::blushing: Member of Diet Club October 2010 Brides and Grooms :blushing:Starting Weight: 14 stone 10.8lbsCurrent Weight: 13 stone 2lbsTotal loss: 21.8lbs :j0 -
When do you give notice then Franny?
Not a clue!In kent the venue books the registrar and then they send us the paperwork to fill in, checked with venue and the booking is defo there and usually the paper work comes 6-8 weeks later!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -

Have you double checked with the registry office that they have you down with your date and time? Don't undertstand what the paperwork part is you see as you have to go in person to give notice and the paperwork is dealt with by the registrar in the registry office. The only paperwork we have received and that I've known people to receive, is what you are given or sent after you have given notice.
You are just having a normal registrar marry you aren't you?
See, you could have given notice yourselves by now as it's less than a year to the wedding. I wouldn't trust anyone else to sort it but me!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

We get sent the 'Kentish Wedding' pack and that tells us what paperwork we need to bring to give notice. I had been worrying a bit, cos you guys had done it yourself. But checked with a Registrar at wedding fair on Sunday who confirmed thats how they do it, if wedding is at any venue not owned by kent county council.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -

I'm such a control freak, I'd still have to double check with the registry office!
If I want anything doing I do it myself because if anything goes wrong, then I only have myself to blame, I do it with everything and don't half annoy SteveTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

Me too :rotfl::rotfl:Think the wedding planner at the hotel was going to kill me if I'd asked about it one more timeBut seeing the registrar at the wedding fair helped as she explained the whole process.

I'd still have to check myself. Just to keep my annoying and curious mind at bay.
