any other october brides on a diet? i started this week, and i have to say, have just weighed myself and am gutted to find that i lost nothing. i dont understand, im weighing myself at the same time etc, and its been a week, i cut out chocolate and crisps and have been having soups etc for lunch, increased my fruit and veg, and whilst not doing a specific diet i have been keeping a check on calories and fat and know that i am eating enough below to expect weight loss, have also been more active this week, and using the wii fit (whilst this isnt exactly strenuous exercise i did just burn 220 calories in 50 mins so it does help) so why didnt i loose? anyone else found this? i thought the first week of a diet should always be the easiest to loose weight?

I am starting again tomorrow ;)

I am aiming for 1lb a week for 40 weeks, that should give me a weight loss of just over 2 stone :D

I always kick start with the cabbage soup diet, and will garantee me to kick off with a good sart of at least 4lb

I have also been doing circuit training once a week through work (I was supposed to be staffing it and leaving in instructor to it but I got roped in  )

I also weigh heavier around TOM and usually show a bigger loss the following week.

I think we should start our own October 2010 weight loss club :D
    *Runs off to start one*

When you say you are eating below the calorie intake, how many calories are you eating exactly???

hey thanks2 you both, and yeah i think a club for just october brides would be good as the other weight loss thread is so long, and this would be fewer people so we'd get to know each others goals better. i get what your saying about TOM but i have the implant so i dont really have a TOM its completely random, however i am having it taken out tomorrow (as have wandered whether this has contributed over the years to my weight gain - this was my second one so have been on it for over 4 years) so will be interesting to see if this helps at all.

just felt sooooo fed up because in the past when i have tried to loose weight in the first week ive always lost 3-4lb.

As for exercise and stuff, myself and the OH have started jogging following a plan called C25K. So something good for us to do together, gets us fit and its a great new hobbie!

Also the OH is quite pleased as I am out of breath most of the time and cant talk weddings to him!!

Edit: Also just read about Linda making the veil for Frannyann, I may call upon your services at some point!!!

Well spoken to venue, the registrar is booked. They contact us about christmas time, was worrying as you guys all seemed to have booked and paid. But apparently its the venue that does the actual booking and our place is confirmed but paper work and payment is done later. *phew*
