  • I've got a pilates DVD that Ive yet to try but I plan too! (Its hidden among my fitness dvd's must try to dig it out) and a few celebrity endorsed dvd's (jennifer ellisons west-end workout, davina, colleen mcloughlin (sp?)) that I also want to give a pop. Got a stepper to use for when I cant get out to walk - for some reason this hurts a lot more than stepping should - lol! and of course the good old exercise bike. Also gonna try a few light weights.

  • Check you out with all your challenges!!!! I'm thinking I may need to have a look at a grocery challenge. One of my biggest gripes is that we spend so much on a "monthly" shop and then end up going 3 times a week anyway! And then it turns from just milk, to: milk, beans, sausages, the paper, the reduced humous, and a bottle of Dr Pepper!

Anyway...hope you and your DF are okay - sorry I haven't been on in a while - been under it a little recently!

    Spk soon :D

  • Hi September09, I'm with you on the grocery challenge - it does help! Good luck with the health and fitness stuff... sounds like you're doing good.

I've started off taking things easy with a walk every day, trying to gradually increase the distance.

I'm now trying to add in some extra exercise- again just a little to start with.

I also have a selection of dvds (yoga, pilates, dance and aerobics), a stepper, abs frame and the wii fit. At the moment I am doing whatever I think I can manage/ feel like.

In another week I will probably copy you and plan a programme which I can move around so that within a week I'm doing a range of different activities.

Following your diary is helping to motivate me!

    Good luck with the challenges!

  • Hi Jellie.

Sounds like a good plan. I like to ease myself into it too, hence there being more walking in the beginning. The DVD's will be good for those rainy days when I dont want to go out. ;)

I find it hard to think I could motivate anybody! Hehe. But thank you all the same. :D

Reading about other people carrying out exercise plans gives me a nudge to keep on with my own.
Just been for my walk- good to get outside for a bit!
