Hi everyone!
So, I already have a diary on this board, but I feel the need for a fresh new start so am abandoning that one (bye-bye old diary!) and starting a shiny new one! Tadaa!
I will start with a little background information, then go onto my debts.
About me:-
* I am 22 years old (23 a week today).
* I have a mortgage with 21 years left to go on it (We bought the house when I had not long turned 18).
* I live with my Fiance (DF will be abbreviation), we have been engaged since 2004 but are planning a lloonngg engagement and have no plans to actually wed anytime soon. We would prefer to be financially sound first.
* I have the majority of the debts, DF only has an overdraft. Hence me being on here!
* Im new to all this personal debt-busting. Only started my old diary at the beginning of the month! I have, however, worked in finance-type jobs for many years though so shouldn't have ever gotten myself into this debt. When advising other people can be quite savvy.. just not so good at taking my own advice! But from now on I am going to be very good, and very disciplined and get myself out of this Debt that I have managed to get myself into (lets face it I only have myself to blame) hopefully with a little help from you lovely people.
* As my signature shows I am also aiming to lose 56lbs weight in total (4 stone) to bring me to my target weight.
So now the debt stuff:-
The usually story, I was young, naive and foolish with money and gotten myself into a big mess. But thats all going to change now.
A more mature attitude to money lies ahead.
My Personal debts are:-
Littlewoods Account
Next Account
Credit Card #1 (B)
Credit Card #2 (H)
Credit Card #3 (V)
Loan from Joint Savings
Personal Loan
Overdraft
These are the ones that I will be tackling and getting rid off (not in that particular order though).
I'm not sure on APR's at the moment. Will search them out and detail them, then deciding which order to tackle them in.
At some point in the future will probably put up a SOA but no promises (I know it will help but Im the tortoise not the hare).
I will put balances of each of the debts up soon!
So there you go, the story of me. Hopefully you'll chose to follow my progress and give me lots of hopefull hints and advice.
Post again soon..

Ok. So in the meantime, before I can put up my balances and APR's, I'm going to put up a little to do list for between today and the end of the weekend, to give me some focus;
* Write out a meal plan using most, if not all, of what we have in the cupboard. I will do it for 10 days worth of meals for a week/7 day period, as this will give me some extra choice of what to have. I'm one of those that doesn't want the planned meal on the last day of my plan and just ''pops'' to tesco/asda and spends £30 that I didn't need to! So this should ensure my success. Also do a weekly shop.
* Do studying(/homework!) from my evening course that I take at college. This is in addition to working full-time, so I can find it quite a struggle and really have to force myself to do it.
* Declutter part of the house and sort the garden. A lot of work to be done here and I want to be all prepared for Autumn/Winter/Christmas.
* Look at the budget and decide where I can save/cut back/make more money. Try to get this in order, together with DF's. We have completly seperate accounts and would not change this. But its all ''our'' money and we like to help each other out.
I think that will do for now. Otherwise I'll never get it all done. Will update my progress on this at the beginning of next week.Proud to be dealing with my debts one step at a time.Weight Loss Progress - 0 out of 56lbsWBDF's 'Weight Loss Challenge to Christmas 2009' Progress - 0 out of 21lbsPart of the DFW Addicts '''Blankie Club'' - Working my way to VEGAS babyOctober NSD's 0/100 -

How has day one of the Gunnagetthinner challenge???!!! Was pleased to see you had a foot long sub yesterday!!!
Good news, my mate at work chatted to hubby and he said he doesn't mind who does the cleaning!! So thats extra money every week (they have a huge house).........:T (feel bad for her current cleaner though.....she'll get the heave ho on the weekend....but then if she'd been doing the job properly in the first place they wouldn't be looking around for a new one would they??) I need to stop worrying about other people so much and focus on me and mine! Just need to make sure I put money back for the tax bill
Lovely new dairy sept, I see you've stolen my 10 day meal plan without properly referencing it..........:rotfl:(Wannabedebtfree, 2009)

Day one on the challenge has gone OK. Didn't do too brilliantly nor too badly but today will be better! So watch out. :rotfl:
The foot long subway was a bad-one. Mayonaisse and cheese and everything! Wont be making that mistake again.
Im glad you got the cleaning gig. You're right if she'd done a good enough job they wouldn't be looking. Don't feel bad. That's something I've got to stop aswell. Thinking about everybody else. We should start thinking about ours first.
I know. We need one of those little 'c' copyright signs and a disclaimer at the bottom stating the originator!
