  • So, the lawn is mowed, and we have a cupboard full of food, all sorted into sections. I didn't actually buy that much food when I was shopping so that just shows how bad I've been in the past at just buying whatever I fancy! But on the plus side it gives me lots of food to do my week/10 day meal plan from (copyright WannaBeDebtFree 2009 ;) :rotfl:)! :D

Also bought 4 tins big of chocolates (The ones that they always have barrel loads of at christmas).. Not for me before you challengers get too excited, but for...Christmas presents. For sisters/brothers! So thats good as they were Buy One Get One Free, saves me money later on when they're bound to go up in price ready for Christmas. Dates are good too. April next year.
    :T
I also got a laundry basket, as we didn't have one, ours broke :(, which was half price! :)

Have searched out my APR's and balances so will pop them up later.

  • Hi September - welcome to diaryland. I'm thinking of getting some of those tins too. They have the buy one get one free at coop for £8 instead of the usual £10!

OK so looking at these APR's Ive decided Im going to carry on paying the minimum/what Im already paying on all the credit cards ATM, and also on the loans and the littlewoods account, and work on getting rid of the NEXT account first. Its the highest APR and the smallest balance so thats good all round. After that I will probably work on the Credit Card #3 (V) as that also has quite high interest. Just opted out of this one too as they were gonna jack it up another 10%.

On top of this I will also be working on the budget to also have hopefully a little extra money in my account to chip away at that dreaded overdraft. I hate being in the red. :(

I think that looks like a plan! :T

Good job on getting your APR's :T

I would recommend using the snowball calculator to determine how best to prioritise your repayments to ensure you pay the least interest, this also is able to tell you your debt free date which can be really encouraging. :) (Can someone post the link, I'm not allowed to as a new user)

I have previously been using a current account for my money which was in the red on overdraft and I have since realised it's one of the biggest things that caused me problems, I have now opened a basic bank account with another bank - who I owe nothing to - and I transfer spending money into there, I know exactly what I have for groceries, entertainment, day to day etc - my goal then becomes how 'little' can I spend, anything left over can be put back in to pay off debt. Might be an idea if you haven't already.
  • Thanks for the suggestion this is something I'll consider definatly. Will have a good think and decide if its for me.

I think Ive seen the link for that calc so I'll search it out.
