Glad you had a good birthday. I've found all 3 challenges good. Tough working out targets that are challenging but achievable though.

For the 100 day challenge I started with something which would be tough but I knew I could do. I started with clothes and magazines (not including any underwear that needed replacing). I've now added cleaning products and toiletries but again it is on the basis that if something essential runs out it can be replaced (unlikely as I have several bottles of most things!!)

The first month of the grocery challenge I tried to set a target just under what I thought I usually spent and concentrated on keeping track so that I could set a more realistic target for the second month.

For the NSDs I thought about the average week and what I could manage to do bearing in mind you need to spend some days for food, petrol etc.

Good luck with deciding what to do

  • Ok, so time for a big MSE post now the birthdays out the way for another year... :) (hadnt got on much and hadnt had my focus with all the excitement).

So since probably, thursday, maybe friday..not done an awful lot on the MSE front. So am ready to rock and roll again. Here's the plan:-

    * Still sticking to the old meal plan. In fact doing even better than that as we've been having a few meals with other people so the meal plans should last even longer than first anticipated.
    :j

    * Vowing to use up all my lotions and potions (toiletries) before splurging out on new ones (usually buy shiney pretty new things on impulse). Feeling a few tubes/bottles about to be cut open. :rotfl:

    * Have came up with a new plan to get fit on a budget. Every tuesday and thursday I will walk down to mum's (30 mins) then walk her dog (30 mins) then walk home (30 mins). Fridays I will exercise at home on the Bike. Who needs to pay for a gym, eh? :D This will coincide with WBDF's and Missy's Diet threads.

    * Trying to have the heating off as much as possible. If I do have it on will try to make sure I'm drying clothes with it at the same time or something like that! This would be acceptable for me as surely thats better than using the tumble drier if the weathers no good for putting them outside? Will be piling extra jumpers and blankets on to keep me warm instead. Its amazing how snuggly you can get under a blanket. :) Getting toasty just thinking about it.

    * Thinking of targets as I'm joining Grocery Challenge for October, 100 days and NSD's challenges. My first challenges - how exciting!
:T (Will post these up ASAP once Ive come up with them!!)

    * Getting my thinking cap on re: how to have a MSE christmas!! ANy help, anyone? THIS I'll struggle with.

    * Going to also write a ''declutter/sort the house before Christmas'' Plan.

I think that's all.........Hmm. Yes should be. To coincide with this will be posting To Do List up too!

You sound like you have some really good ideas and plans you are an inspiration. Will carry on reading intently!

oooh toasty blankets.... I love cuddling up under mine, could almost go to sleep under it now......... nope have to get the bus!!! speak later!!! x
  • Think that's a plan for tonight. Im not going to my evening class/course. Feeling a little yucky and tired from a busy day at work and got lots to catch up on homework-wise so will do that instead. Toasty blanket, glass of wine, homework! Not exactly bliss but nevermind eh!?

  • Right. The plan went well! Got all my homework/catching up done - EVENTUALLY! Also did some more last night.
    :T

Yesterday after work I went on my first ''gym'' walk with mum's dog. She was a bit naughty but not too bad! Was 1hr 15mins total, inc getting there (got a lift back was running late!! :o).

Meant to be going thursday but have to postpone it till friday just this week, will go on the bike thursday instead, just switching round the days for one week only really as that was my plan for friday! :)

Still having the heating off as much as possible. Although the bedroom was very warm yesterday evening when I arrived home. DF had it on for a bit bless him, he's feeling a bit poorly think he's getting a cold! :(

So tonight its college, getting a lift there from DF and a lift back from a friend so no bus money there. :D Will have a Weight Watchers Ready Meal before I go from the freezer. MSE and GGT challenge stylee! My hardcore ''life-changing''diet starts tomorrow. It really will be life changing. At the moment I have IBS through bad diet, restless legs from being overweight. Its not pretty. But that will all change soon enough.

Wow- you are really going for it!

I have just followed your lead and had a bit of a pamper session. Once I've got some of my list for today done I think I'll do my nails too!

I'm on for a walk again later and a bit of yoga or pilates. Any other types of exercise in your plan? I like the way you're keeping it varied.
