Just had a read of the feedback thread! I think we should campaign for the removal of . It could be responsible for driving us to drink and I find it totally offensive:p

We definitely should go for it. Behind you all the way!!!

I've just had one of my *meetings* insert rolleyes smiley rolleyes.gif and then a shruggy smiley confused-smiley-013.gif as I have no idea normally what they want me to do

This meeting was a bit clearer - I have to cut down 2480 whole plants and process these to get an idea of how this crop grows up here

Wholly guacamole batman - that's alot of plants - all to be done in FEB - I may need to lie down (insert lying down smiley) mgfaint.gif

    Scarpers icon_bolt.gif -

    HS10026.gif to everyone!!!

Did my 3rd run today and feeling great. BF is on his way here and he is bringing a sofa!!! Can you imagine sitting comfortably in front of telly instead the two of us balancing on one futon chair which my dog has claimed as hers. Need to roll my sleeves up and make some space to it as I sill have about 5000 books residing in my sitting room :o

HB when you are back can I please have 22. HSthanks.gif

About not wanting to swap alcohol into other bad habits like eating choccies I did eat lots of really nice stuff (Th0rnt0ns caramel shortcake :p) after I quit but I am not scoffing things like that anymore. Also I was drinking ginger ale but now very happy with decaf tea. I found it important to have other kind of rewards to start with.

Apologies in advance for mistakes in this post which there may be many as im posting on my new phone which has the smallest QWERTY keyboard in history and my nails are rather long *rollseyes*

Will be AF today, im still very angry with myself for giving the best part of 17 years to alcohol, GC, I am beaten and very tired. This feeling, i know, will fade with just a few days AF so need to be vigilent, walked this path so many times and im sick of it.

I picked up the prescription doc gave me for the diazepam, i hadnt intended to take them but i thought one wont hurt for the next few days to help the anxiety. I do feel quite calm and not bothered about drinking tonight. Though i do know that last time i had counselling they really frowned upon my doc keep pushing diazepam, they were worried about replacing one addiction with another. Hes told me to take them 3 times a day but i think once in the evening is enough as i dont need to drink during the day. I wont be getting any more of these from him, just enough to give me a start iykwim.

Im now about to embark on a maahoosive plate of chinese with choklit brownie cake for afties washed down with hot choklit. I even pushed the boat out and bought some camomile tea for later! Not looking forward to the sleepless night and vivid dreams though! Still being unhungovered will be nice.

Dunno if its the diazepam, but i feel almost relieved to not have to drink. I want to thank PBT once again for that post which made me realise how tired i am, thank you xxx

    Dear Jo,

Diazepam is part of the family used for alcohol community detoxes so please do not take it when you are drinking as it will increase all the bad effects and the risks plus it does not take long to build up a tolerance to them eg 2 weeks.

Be careful my dear and try it on your own x

  • My 'burn out' happened back in March after some spectacularly dodgy behaviour! I blamed it on depression, toyed with the idea of being bi-polar and glossed over the fact I was drinking in excess of 50 units a week...week in week out. Took me till October...October 27th to be exact that it might just be down to the fact that I was an alcoholic. Except for my 'I'll just have one that turned into 7' on christmas day I havent drunk since. Take your time Jo. You know you are an alcoholic. Thats the first step. You've lived with that knowledge for a fair while now. Now go for the next steps. Re-read 'no big deal' hassle everyone you can for help and support because as loreal says...you're worth it. x
