    Piffle! :p

I love a good articulated response - Piffle is just such a good word. Well done HB on such an excellent response!

Scarlett O Hara did indeed end the scene with 'After all tomorrow is another day'

Lurks I think you are right, folks are so badly unprepared - we had to stop on our journey every 10 miiles or so to clear out windscreens cos the de-icer was frozen - but the number of folks we saw in T-shirts and stupid shoes around the town falling all over the place complaining they were cold and of course driving stupidly even for short journeys.

And the cleverest doctor of all Dr. Seuss said: "Today was good. Today was fun. Tomorrow is another one."

    Good evening,

Snow threat here as well. I will find out 7am tomorrow morning if DD's school will be closed or not. I am prepared and have brought pile of papers from work so if we get stuck here I can at least work remotely.

After two days at work I am starting to feel my normal tirednes. I should be doing some serious studies this year and am starting to get scared about when I am going to do it as every day after 7pm I am shattered. (Well I have been on the go for 12 hours non stop so no wonder).

Better drag DD to bed and chill out a bit before tacling some stuff that needs doing. So HB no 5 for me please.

Just watching the news - OMG!

Wierd the further north we got the better the weather was (although to be honest that might change eh!) My local council is on Twitter.

Away for a bath - had the battle in my head with going out and am not doing that - so anohter one for me lovely HB making me on 4

    No snow here yet :D

I feel its on its way though. Not good when I live at the top of a hill .
  • Hi all :hello:

4 please HB, thanks. And good luck with the poison ...

I second all the thanks to Mr GC - you are a great help to many people, Graeme :T

Hiya Budgie - glad to hear you are so positive, and as always, thinking of how you can help other people, you little cutie :T

Snow and more snow here in S Manchester. My 3 DDs' school was closed today  Do the teachers still get paid??? (I would probably have to take it as part of annual leave if I couldn't get into work ...) Mr PIR was unable to go to London - although tried to get his car out of the drive despite thick snow, neighbours helped him to move it back onto the drive - I did try to warn him as I trudged off to the station at 7:00 am, but as you all know, he is a very stubborn person :confused: I, however, managed to get to work in central Manchester by 8:10 am :A

School still closed tomorrow apparently.

Absolutely cannot wait for things to get back to normal. It is chaos here. My mum was unable to go to a very important hospital appointment because she just could not get there due to the snow.

    Things can only get better!!!

So you are very lucky, those of you without snow!!!

    Bi for now
