Morning all, lovely to see mrsdee and bhb back, not to mention Fay safely back home.
Honeybear, I haven't set a target for this month but am definitely not planning to drink.
Had a quiet New Year, so no temptations there, and am looking forward to an AF 2010 for me. OH still drinking too much, but he knows it and has cut down a bit (now "only" around 50 units a week I reckon).
Welcome newbies, and great to see so much positive thinking around!0 -
Hello again everyone.
I've not posted since before Christmas as I've been on holiday for two weeks far away from the internet.
It is good to be back though. I haven't had time to catch up with the thread yet so I hope that everyone had a really nice 'festive season' and that the new year has been going well so far.
I guess that there's a new AF challenge going on, and I'll join in but once again just one day at a time. (I did drink a bit too much over christmas and disgraced myself onceso back on the wagon. Must learn how to deal with social occasions gracefully).
Nice to be back, going to read up on what you've all been up to now...Trying to keep in budget.

I did not want to carry on and admit to not drinking when I was but there it is. I will try to attain the best figure for Jan that I can.

Managed to wipe out my whole PC back to the bones and thought I had lost 7,000 odd photos but managed to find them....Phew. I was not in the good books for a while there but back up and running now with a" Wireless Router".

:T Good one.

I'm not feeling as bad today, still a bit sleepy but much better.

Afternoon all
On here a bit late today as thought I would wait till Piglet was at nursery so I could concentrate!
YM - ((Hugs)) matey. How many of us have been there before? At least you are picking yourself up and carrying on.
HB - 4 for me please. Hope the mice problem is being sorted for you!!
115k - glad to hear you are feeling slightly better.
Good news!! I've had to go to the doctor today (a recurring problem) and she's put me on pills I can't drink with!! Not that I've even been tempted the last few days but it does help to know I CAN'T. And it may be fairly long term which is great:rotfl:(nobody worry, its only something minor, I'm not dying or anything!!!) So LOTS more money will be going in that savings pot!
Day 2 of the diet in the Piggy Household. Last night I cooked a pasta dish out of Gino D'Campos new italian diet book. Took ages and when I dished it up OH looked at it and said "Is it a starter...??" Have to admit, the portions were rather small...ok for me but not for my lovely OH who is 6'2, built like the proverbials and eats like a horse!!:rotfl::rotfl:
Anyway, off to catch up on a few threads....oops, I mean the housework:o

Graeme I have just been reading back at some of your posts, and I just wanted to send you a very big Budgie hug ((())) you always give good, sensible advice, which I always digest and take on board. But I think that you should be given thanks more often, I know that is not what is important to you but never the less. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANKYOU MATEY :A
I hope that I will not let you, myself or the thread down and that I will do 365 af days? You always say that the desire to change oneself must be there, I feel that I have that desire now and long may it burn in my soul. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Thanks BB
None of the advice is my own - I just pass on advice I have received. I have no original ideas of my own. Everything has been told to me by others who have experienced it already0 -
:hello: Just to say hang on in there YM, you're doing well and don't let one day get to you.
Hope you have good news about the mice HB.
And what's for starters tonight Miss P? Seemed a shame when you'd gone to all that trouble.
Hope all are coping with weather. It's cold here but no snow or anything...yet!0
