Hope you have good news about the mice HB.!

It appears they like to visit but haven't moved in as yet

Got some boxes of poison (feel awful ) down under some cupboards & the bath (has put me right off relaxing baths, I can tell you!) & it's the stuff they eat then die a day or two later. Don't like doing it but no choice. Need to fill in a coulple of holes round pipes so waiting for a call back on that. Hope it won't be too long before it's done but I suspect the weekend at the earliest due to the weather

    well done you!!

Anyway you'll all be cross with me as I am on the naughty step - went out for a meal last night and accepted the complimentary wine offered (and OH's) then ended up in the supermarket after meal to get bargains and a bottle of wine.

Stupidly having been great - (even if I say so myself) I did the stupid OH ONE WON'T HURT will it - of course it will you moron Fay!!!!

Drank the whole thing - in about 2 hours slumped on sofa OH had to wake me up to get me to bed - what a ruination of an evening. Felt crappy today and angry with myself - I know I am allergic to this stuff so why on earth do I actually do the logic of 'OK one drink won't hurt'.

Anyway thats me - hope you're all good - catch up now and pop back in a mo

Some of us it seems *NEVER* learn.

    Anway - onwards today

Constant vigilence - I let my guard down. Will try harder!

Hope those out and about are OK xx

Its icy here with not alot of snow but tis cold. Worse than a skating rink on the pavements and roads (is salt all of a sudden in short supply?)

Yep! As is gas, apparently, tho some are saying this is a scare-mongering rumour

Basically it's been horribly cold & icy in a lot of the UK for a long time & we really can't cope very well.

Mind you, the snow is about to hit London so then that will be all over the news as clearly London is the Capital of the World! :rotfl:

PS This country is a bit pathetic with a bit of snow isnt it - what about all those places with lots more snow? Or maybe that's the point we're just not use to it anymore.

Well that too, of course

It would be lovely to meet you...no good excuses needed ;)

I think that is the point. We aren't used to it so there are problems with grit, public transport etc. But people also drive like idiots & set out for trips hideously under-prepared
