  • Morning All,
Hugs to all that need them, and also to those who don't!
Yesterday was AFD2, but a hard one. Ex-OH got home at 7.30 from a party he took his kids to, and was absolutely paraletic - great kids party! He also bought beers back with him, and proceeded to talk rubbish for the rest of the evening. Usually I would just drink as well so I could put up with him, but didn't. Took myself out for a drive for about an hour just to get away from him. Forgot how much beer stinks! Anyhoo, staying positive and hopefully will have some good news later!!
    Everyone have a fantastic day
    xx

  • Hope everyone has got a lovely evening planned ?

I'm really looking forward to mine though it's quiet by New Years Eve standards...my BF is driving down, we'll probably have a couple of drinks in my local in the afternoon then come back here, eat nice food, watch tv/play stupid board games & drink champagne

    I can't wait! :j

    Cleaning first tho :(

    How about you? :)

That doesn't sound sad. Sounds idyllic (sp?) to me. Have a good one.
    Happy Hogmanay.

  • Hi

Morning All. I hate New Years Eve, always have, I find it so sad. I stay up every year though, because I dare'nt miss it. Its like saying goodbye to someone who has outstayed their welcome, but out of duty you stand waving at the doorstep until they disappear out of view, because you feel compelled to. Oh sorry thats my moan over with.

I love New Years Day though, a blank canvas.

I have decided to break my challenge into little segments to make it more managable. I am still doing the biggy, but I will only show my score as I complete each month. I am on day 5 now, but by march I will loose count of days etc, so at the end of January I will say 1/12, for arguments sake.

I read somewhere on here that New Years resolutions are easily broken when you set yourself a seemingly imposible task. So if I break it down, and reward myself at the end of each month, it will be easier.

I will buy a Pandora charm at the end of each month AF, and choose something that reminds me of that month.

Sorry to ramble, just getting my house in order before this evening. To all the other 365 dayer's hope you are all okay.

Happy New Year to everyone, though no doubt I will be on this evening, waiting!!! for Fireworks to go off with my DD.

    Off to clean now. Lovely:eek:

Ooooh, what good news is that :D:confused:

Miss P, hugs to you, hope today goes well :)

I also hate NYE and IM has described it as it is, a friend that's outstayed their welcome :rotfl: OH is out with his mates, DD1 was supposed to be going out with BF and her mates but now they've split up I'm not sure what's going on there, I on the other hand will be picking my mum up early evening and take her and the kids (including DD1 if she's about) to my local Toby Carvery for dinner  then home early for telly, choklit and coffee. May or may not be awake at midnight, I feel it's compulsory to but to be honest, this will be the first New Years that I've not been drinking since I was about 14 years old (bar 2 pregnancies) so I don't think I've much reason to as there is utter $hite on telly! I was planning a Chinese takeaway but just spoke to mum and will probably take her for dinner instead, either way

DD1 v. upset. This is very bad timing, not cos of xmas and new year, but because it's right in the middle of her final A-Level exams. Her GCSE's where completely mucked up because of boyfriend trouble right in the middle of the exams and now she's doing it again

So, if anyone's about at midnight and home alone, pop on and see if I'm about :D

  • Oh IM, there was something quite poignant about that. I do know what you mean though.

I like your idea of breaking down the 365 into more manageable chunks & I'm sure it will help others on here too ;)
