And here we come to it...is New Years Eve worse than Christmas? Not sure.
At least tomorrow, society will be more "in tune" and swearing that it will moderate its intake for a few days. Relative sobriety will be fashionable for a while...
Tempted for a drink? No. Not at all. I' ve had some absolutely shocking New Years Eves in my past....they are much better now.
Hope you're all OK....won't say constant vigilance today of all days. IT's harder for it to sneak up at you when it's right in your face!
take care.

Tempted......I won't be.....I now so look forward to a unhungovered New Years Day....I spent so many of the last 30???? dying on the sofa trying to stop feeling ill.
Last year was my first sober one and it was lovely.I felt great and started the New Year on a real high.(And I can watch the darts without a banging headache)....small pleasures:rolleyes:
Happy New Year Bismarck.......and thank you

Morning all
Thanks for the kind words last night. Went on to have far too much to drink, was incapable of speaking to my Mum when she rang to let me know how she'd got on at the doctors (she has heart problems) and was generally an unpredictable, overemotional drunken mess.
So tonight is going to be an AF New Years Eve. And then, as GC always says, I'm going to take it one day at a time. Am even seriously contemplating going to an AA meeting. Never before thought of that but think I need help. OH doesn't understand (he doesn't drink so thinks I'm being over dramatic....I drank two bottles of wine last night and don't have a hangover...and he thinks thats ok:eek:)
Other than that, I'm good!:rotfl::rotfl:
Jo - hope you and your daughter are ok. It's very sad when they're going through hard times.
HB - thank-you for your wise words last night. It was good to have someone looking at things from a different perspective.
Budgie - I'm another pickled onion fan. My FIL sent over a massive kilner jar of them and I intend starting them tonight. Have been known to just sit with a jar and a spoon!:rotfl:
Anyway, off to sort Piglet out...he's got every toy out he can find and my living room looks like Toys R Us!

Have a Brilliant New Year all of you and lots of hugs all round
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
