by the way someone (was it MOS?) was asking about beauty tips. Here's a couple more in addition to the Vaseline Hand and Nail cream for the face!
- Lidl have packs of excellent face wipes for 77p! Great and quick for wiping off the grime/makeup of the day before you go to bed, even if you are really tired (or dare I say, a bit merry). They dont make your eyes sting either, like some.
- buy a self-wax kit (pot of wax that you heat up in the microwave, the cloth bits and the spatula thing). Brilliant for quickly getting rid of any fluff on upper lip or chin (if you are of a certain age like me!) so you always look well groomed and gorgeous without having to pay for horrid salon treatments.
- drink loads of water
- always always always put moisturiser on before you go to bed to give your skin a good "drink" whilst you sleep
- buy a scrubby face sponge thingy (from superdrug/boots) which you can use with a liquid/gel cleanser in the shower in the mornings. Any cheap old cleanser will work as it's the slight exfoliation from the sponge that gets rid of your old skin cells and will make your skin glow and get it fantastically clean and looking fresh.
- if you get the odd spot, as soon as you feel one coming along, dab a bit of sudocrem on it (nappy cream). Works a treat.
- buy a pinky brown lippy. Just that on its own, if you have no time/dosh for anything else, gives you an instant well groomed look (esp if you have followed the scrubby/moisturising tips above!)
If I think of some more, I'll pop them on later....Sick and tired of waking up sick and tired...
