I was going to ask what 'C' word you meant! I'm half asleep this morning.:rotfl:

This joke is especially for Lurkio:

Good King Wenceslas phoned for a pizza.
The salesgirl asked him, 'Do you want your usual? Deep pan, crisp and even'

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Oh that is superb!!! :T:T:T

Lurks, I also wondered what 'C' word you were talking about, then I realised you mean CHRISTMAS :snow_laug Sorry to hear about the job loss, is it you that's lost it?

YM, another one for me please, waiting for complacency to kick in now  Oh, and another thing, why is it that since you changed my total to 25 you made the 25 all big, you trying to rub my nose in it ;)

Right, actually on time at the moment so gonna make the most of it and get ready for work now :D

Morning everyone! (Loving the Christmas joke!!).
Another one for me YM please - that's 23 now. I think I've definitely got out of the "habit" of the every night drinking and we too dont have any drink in the house anymore. That means one of us would have to go and buy it one either of our twice-weekly visits to supermarket (which happen in the early morning so not really tempted at that time of day). Hoping this will continue. OH seems not to mind at all and has joined in willingly although he really doesnt have the same problem as me. He does occasionally pop out for a blokey pint with neighbour though, so that's ok...
Hope everyone stays positive today and is looking forward to weekend - weather forecast is gorgeous!!

What a great tip mrsdee.....going to try that.

Although I too feel that the evening drink habit is easing...I do get that `shall I , shall`nt I buy a bottle` thoughts when I go to the supermarket in an early evening. I shall shop in a morning from now on!

Morning all & really sorry to hear about the job Lurks....chin up Honey.

  • Oooh what a lovely day!

One more AFD please YM - that takes me to 19/27.

I've got the morning off uni, as we only have stuff this afternoon today, which is rather fab.

This uni malarkey is very confusing! I'm hoping I can fathom out where and when my lectures are, because it's clear as mud at the moment. I hope I don't turn up to the wrong place at the wrong time, but, hey, that's story of my life, so no change there. ;)

This weekend should be AF, as there's nothing going on which might lead me down the path of doom (except for the drinking demon who lives on my shoulder of course). However I'm feeling strong and positive and looking forward to being AF.

Off to do some jobs now, but I'll probably keep popping on and off.

Best of luck to everyone who is planning an AF weekend! :A

    Hugs,

I hope it helps. During the week we add to the shopping list in the kitchen and then only buy what's on the list when we go to the supermarket, so we also steer clear of the Aisles of Doom!

  • Hi everyone, another lovely sunny day and forecast for the w/e is good - yay! Am off to the Malvern Autumn show tomorrow.

YM, pls put me down for another AFD. Didn't have a good start to the evening as got to the car park to find I had a completely flat tyre
Anyway, turned out to be a split valve so at least it wasn't expensive!
Spent the night knitting, only drinking decaff coffee, so back on track.

Have a good weekend everybody and I hope the sun shines on you all whatever you are all doing. Look after yourselves.

And Lurkio, no more mention of the 'C' word yet even though it is three months today :rudolf:
