Good morning,
Sunny but cold here. No idea what I will achieve today as trying to take it easy as still not 100% recovered. At least I will need to find the recipes for the stuff I want to bake for xmas. I am going to take over potential MIL's kitchen for that later this week. I hope she doesn't mind. BF coming here tomorrow, I haven't seen him for two weeks so that is FANTASTIC. Also trying to decide what units to study come January. Oh well - cup of tea first perhaps..."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Hi everyone
I was on another thread this morning (Marriages board) and was reading about a woman there. I thought to myself ..... "I wonder if that other thread is still going"............. and you are :T
I mainly popped in to see if Steph found it and she has so well done for that too.
This thread stirred something in me back in March last year. It made me get my head out of the sand and look at what I was doing and how I was living. I got tipsy every night. Slightly less than a whole bottle of red wine a night. I stopped buying bottles and bought boxes to pretend (I called it money saving) and on and on it went.
From a family with 9 siblings at least half of them have issues with booze (some serious) so I decided to quit. And I did! For the longest time I couldn't go anywhere near booze (was feart) but now I can have the odd pear cider and it's all good. I don't actually believe I'll ever be steamin' again. I also don't think I'll ever tast red wine again (am still feart of that one):o
So, thank you to everyone here. Reading your stories and experiences cleared the fog for me. I wish you all the very best for the New Year and good luck.Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

Back from hairdressers, car registered -5 this morning  road was like an ice rink which was a bit scary
Postman has just delivered an entire van-ful of parcels on my doorstep from my ebay fest the other night  I really shouldn't be allowed to have an ebay account.
Feeling a bit tired and worn out and fed up, looking forward to Jan 1st when things will be sparkly new again. I think this time round I am more prepared for it, last year the AF challenge passed me by! I was fine till the postie said that they nearly had to commission another van to do his route cos all my parcels took his van up  I'd managed to forget about the obscene amount of money I'd spent on ebay the other night till that moment, that and the fact that I've just handed over my last £15 to my hairdresser and now own a grand total of £4.40 until 31st December
Things have to change, so I'm off to make myself a new diary which WILL make me save money for the necessities (sp?) for the next year and not leave me out of pocket!
Looking forward to an AF Saturday
