Jo, is there any possibility to change your doctor - he sounds quite useless. It's a dreadful thing to say to someone, especially if he knows your history and the things you've tried, which is why I questioned whether it was considered 'good advice'. I think I'd have slapped him one if he'd said that to me (but then I am a very bad tempered type who can be very stroppy with slightly patronising medical folk). Does it not put you at the top of the priority list for support or whatever if you have tried and still struggle.
If you have a dentist he could possibly give you an opinion on your gums?
I'm staying sober tonight - DH working late to get everything finished before the hols and I feel quite tired. Must tidy up a bit first but then I think I'll go to bed.
So I'll call it as 11 thanks MarruTrying to keep in budget.

Can I be added to the 72hr challenge list please HB pretty please
Lovely looking mince pies Lurkio, well done, I can't do pastry so will be attempting to make some with the frozen puff stuff I have got in this weeekend...what a man of many talents you are :T
Budgie Well done on avoiding the vino tonight, hope you are doing ok hun..how is mr BB doing? had he had his CBT session yet? sorry if I have missed you posting about it...x
JO, hugs hun, I know what you mean about someone not having to think twice about not drinking, I have a friend who doesn't drink, she used to try the odd malibu and pineapple when we were teens but just said alcohol gives her a headache so she wouldn't bother!! lucky thing!!!! Your doc does sound like a pain, this is your health we are talking about here, if you are not happy, maybe you should seek out a new doctor xxx
Miss P Glad piglet enjoyed his Santa train trip,I was hoping to do something like that with mine this year, but couldn't find anything locally...good luck with racking up some af days, It is sooo hard at the moment with all the booze floating around to avoid it...
Marru, I am on 5 days as of today hun, thanks for doing a sterling job on the scoring xx
Welcome also to Signs...well done on your cutting down yesterday, hope today has gone well for you....some great advice on here, I always enjoy reading the advice as it seems to give me more resolve to cut alcohol out/down .....I have seen some people before mentioning taking 'milk thistle' to help with detoxing and also something called 'kudzu' for helping with cravings I think, I havn't tried them or looked into them properly myself yet but thought it worth mentioning as there is probably loads of info online about it (and others on here might be able to comment from personal knowledge)
Sosadangel you have done so well with your drinking and your tea sounds delicious....
Well tonight went to see my twin dd's in their nursery nativity and one of mine was Mary...she absolutely basked in the part and didn't want to leave!! for quite a while she was sat there holding the baby in the straw just smiling for the cameras bless...my other dd was a 'very reluctant' Angel and couldn't see what all the fuss was about...ahh but it was lovely to watch....as a bonus I won the first prize in the raffle which was a big hamper filled with christmas goodies!!! which was fantastic...only thing was that my dd picked out my ticket
sorry for such a waffly post....
hugs to all who need them xxxxStarting with Avon C6 target sales £150.000 -
Hi,
Dashes in, and oh misses out on those lovely Mince Pies, put my name on one in the next batch Lurkio.
Marru, 14 AF days for me. My 100 day challenge is nearly up, day 90/100 already:eek:
Its flown by. Now I just have to convince myself that I need to carry on. Its an argument I keep restling with. Christmas would be so lovely with a little drink!! But so would Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Years Eve!!! Help:eek: What to do.
99% of me wants to keep going, as I feel 100% better as does my wallet. If I can get through Christmas, I know, that I can remain AF. Any advice from those who have done Christmas AF?
Hope everyone is well this evening.
Good Nite.:D365 AF Day Challenge 32/365:T:j
