Sorry that everyone is feeling so down - I think it's the changing of the seasons - it takes the body a time to adjust. We're all coughing and sniffing here and it comes with a nasty headache. My eldest took himself off to bed after school and hasn't surfaced since.

I've had tea and cheese this evening so another AFD which Is 11 now if I can add up right.

    Here's to a better Friday.
    Trying to keep in budget.

Big hugs to Stroppy & Gien HShuggies.gif

I think this whole back to school/work/both has got a lot of people on the hop, along with the fact it is now a lot colder

But hang on in there, me darlings, I still love you all

  • Evening all,I will join in with the feeling grotty theme if I may? Got ongoing problems with my nose following a failed op in May, now got raging cold and nose feels HORRID:mad:

For me taking a drink is not an option and I am so glad I know that one.I really wish everyone who is struggling well.

I must confesss I have spent a small fortune this week on Honey as I read it is good for my symptoms, £12 for a small jar, will shortly be making Camomile tea with Honey (tiny bit caus of cost)and lemon.I know I wont sleep very well but it is not like the not sleeping feeling I used to get when drinking, that is vile.

    Sleep tight everyone.:A

  • Hi,

Wow - chapter 5 in our 2009 story.

Hugs to everyone that's feeling down in the dumps.

I've done low level drinking every day this week. Drinking on a Sunday exceptional for me as I like to start the week with a clear head, but we had a family thing and had a couple of glasses - that seemed to set the tone for the week.

S'pose the important thing is that I've not broken the golden rules of:
a). don't get drunk and make an a*se of yourself
b). don't suffer a hangover and waste a day of your life

Still, over the recommended weekly units though no doubt - will really need to watch that. Need to do some Mr BHB-stylee unit counting for a reality check.

Hope everyone's heading into a happy weekend.

    xx

PS Sobering reading on BBC website today - Glasgow highest in Britain for drink-related deaths.
  • Evening All.....btw my voice is not a deep as Dixon of Dock Green ( the younger amoungst us will not have a clue what I`m on about):D:D

Morning everyone! Sorry that some of you are feeling under the weather or just plain grumpy. Dont blame the change of seasons! Think of all the good things :
    - blackberries for free everywhere
    - leaves on the trees turning into beautiful colours
    - slight crispness in the air which is great when you go for a walk in the morning (esp if you have a dog!)
    - good excuse to get jimjams and warm socks on early in the evening and curl up in front of telly/with good book
    - you can drink plenty of hot chocolate!
    - time to cook yummy things in slow cookers and eat jacket spuds
    - autumn evenings can be spent making gifts (or lists!) to get organised in time for Christmas - means you wont get caught on the hop and will also save you money
    - also can start planning next year's vegetable gardening
    - soon be time for conkers, halloween and bonfires - yeah!!

YM, that's 16 for me please!
