Outlaw no 2 that's married to Outlaw no 1 is doing her upmost to make my day hell. She keeps coming up with ideas about getting the car fixed and looked at and ultimately getting us to this darned party

    How helpful

Ah, don't be too hard on him.....he doesn't know how to drive a car let alone fix one :D

Plus he did offer to pay for me to have my hair cut cos he knew it'd make me feel better yesterday. Unfortunately had to cancel that for today too as I can't get there by public transport....I'm being punished for my deviousness :rotfl: Nevermind, booked meself in for a cut and colour on the 12th instead :D

Right, I really really have to go out. Decided I'm going to do Gordon Ramsey's Beef Bourguignon for dinner tonight with the stewing beef I had delivered from Abel & Cole the other week  and we'll make nice cakes for afties, plus OH will be able to play in the poker tournament tonight that he thought he'd have to miss so hopefully we can have a nice evening :D

  • Can I come round for dinner? :D

You have reminded me that I need to book a hair appointment too so will be off shortly - thankfully mine is only a few minutes walk away :)

Hope all the car/party dramas resolve themselves :)

Hi Budgie, don't ever think we'd be bored listening to you. If you want to 'talk' you know you'd get a sympathetic ear.

Jo, would it be too late to catch wine or bear flu?:D Hope you get it all sorted but I can understand the children being upset as they generally love staying in hotels.

Ange, you're doing great!! 1000 days is a big commitment. Let's hope 'they' don't decide that to much lime & soda is bad for us!

I'm off to party tonight too. Don't really want to go either as OH's ex will be there and even though it's years and years ago I detest the woman. My plan is to go, ignore her, and chat to the people that I like who will be there (fortunately lots). I've also got horrible cold and so don't feel at sparkly best. I'm also considering being AF or drinking very little to make sure I stay totally in control.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend (except jo of course:p)

After I declined their kind offer of putting an extra 45 miles each way on their round trip, they've told me to push the car 100yds up the road and call the AA......:undecided

I'm off to buy cake stuff.....

   [/QUOTE]

Not being funny Jo, but I don't think going to an AA meeting is going to get you out of this one.......although the last meeting I went to did have a couple of mechanics attending come to think of it....

Hope everyone is OK today, its cold here but nice and bright.

Budgie, hope you are feeling better, please let off steam on here if you want to, you always take so much care and effort to support the rest of us, we'd love to help or just offer some support if you are down. Same goes for Honeybear and anyone else whose struggling.

Hope all the sniffs, wine flu, colds, aches and pains etc are getting better for everyone whose been ill. Know what you all mean about some other threads, popped over to the bank charges discusion thread to see what all the fuss was about, blimey it was vicious-some really pious, self opinionated nasty stuff....came straight back here!!!!

    Take care everyone...

  • Evening all!

Having a nice day here. OH has had a good birthday (despite hiccup with his daughter). Off to Mums shortly for a fish n chip evening. Should be good. I AM taking a bottle of wine with me but won't get to drink much of it...Mum frowns at me when she thinks I've had enough:rotfl:

Piglet been a bit of a nightmare today...overly excited because his brothers down. Tried to get him to have a nap but he wouldn't. Later on this evening he is bound to be awful! I may NEED that wine!:rotfl:

Anyway, must dash. Have good saturdays everyone

    Miss P
    xx
