ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -

Morning,
Breezing in quick, have such a lot to do. Had a nightmare weekend planned, a party for one of the outlaws over 60 miles away which meant me, OH and the kids had to stay over tonight (was so excited last week when I thought I wouldn't be seeing them again till next year  then the party invite landed on the doorstep). OH doesn't drive so a 3 hour round trip for me. Then.....last night the car wouldn't start  got it going eventually and now OH doesn't believe me, he thinks I'm making it up so I don't have to go to said party. (Obviously, it's a big bonus
but) I wouldn't do something like that, especially as he'd booked the hotel and now will have to pay 50% cancellation fee.
Problem I now have is, just tried the car again and it works perfectly :undecided I now have to pretend it doesn't and take a bus into town with the 2 kids to get some shopping in the FREEZING cold to prove the point
What a tangled web
Also a plus about not going means I don't have to be surrounded by loads of alcohol and drunk people tonight
Hope you all have a lovely sunny sober saturday

I was read a novel where that happened; the woman was driving with her male colleague & the car just stopped. The car was later found to be fine so everyone thought they were having an affair (they weren't), all sorts of ups & downs, her husband went off & slept with his young secretary, the marriage broke up...then he was in the car & just stopped  :rotfl:
Was a great book
Good luck with the bus, Jo. Sorry about the cancellation fee etc but can see how that overall it is a plus@ LBM = £15,872.65, now £10,819.82AF Jan = 7/? Feb = 5/14 Mar = 14/20 Apr = 6/14 May = 2/14 June 2/14 July 0/TF Aug 1/TFv Sept 6/TF Oct 4/7"NEVER DOUBT YOUR OWN QUALITY"0 -

Good God!!
Kids are upset about the party, I have now promised them we'll play a game of some description this afternoon, that didn't cheer them up so I said I'll buy them Mc'd's for dinner, that didn't do it so now I've promised we'll do some baking as well. Just checked supplies and I have none so have to go into town now (on the bus ) but buy cake making stuff :rolleyes:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -

The outlaws have just offered to drive all the way from outer mongolia (in the opposite direction of this evenings party) to look at the car :eek:DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0

I just can't believe that, if only I'd got my 'arris in gear a bit sooner, we'd be either sat freezing our bums off at the bus stop or shopping for baking stuff by now and I would've missed the phone call
After I declined their kind offer of putting an extra 45 miles each way on their round trip, they've told me to push the car 100yds up the road and call the AA......:undecided
I'm off to buy cake stuff.....
