morning all! I hope everyone had a good AF night last night (if that's what you were planning for), and looking forward to the weekend. Weather forecast wet and windy here so that indicates wrapping christmas presents and drinking hot chocolate at home, I reckon! Anyway, that's 26 please for me GG.
Marru, bless you for taking on the challenge for scoring in December. I'm going to aim for 18 as this allows me a drink on Christmas Day and on New Year's eve, plus I'm on holiday for 11 days too before Christmas so whilst I will "allow" myself those non-AF days I hope to not use them all and then I might exceed my target!!

    Morning all

Slinks in - not AF last night - managed to convince myself that because I was so good yesterday that I was allowed a glass of wine last night. (which of course turned into a bottle of wine)

Went shopping late which I know for me isnt a great time to go shopping, but thought to myself - hey I am doing OK at this - surely I am OK to shop later on now
And I went when tired and hungry - and was feelign a bit melancholic about work etc and stuff. Been a month or so since OH has been up here so was feelign a bit sorry for myself. Works really getting on top of me and for a few hours it was nice to sit and have some wine and watch a movie. (Should have had a cuppa as it would have been the same for relaxing)

Stupid really as he's due up here later today.

I know tis all classic HALT stuff - but I seemed to just plod on regardless.

Anyway so thats me still on 24 GG

Small steps though - beginning to catch myself mostly before I self-sabbotage - but not always!

Thanks in advance for allowing me to rabbit on. I don't feel especially garbage today, but that's always been my problem - I don't really get hangover very often if at all. Onwards - 2 days drinking this month - whilst not perfect is much better than the place I was before, I just need to be more careful.

Jo love the 'wine flu' thingmy.

PS Marru well done for offering to score - No target for me - I am aiming for a managing a month like Jo (and others) but I am not putting a target up cos I think if i fail at one day the whole month I feel like I've failed rather than seeing the good bits I focus on what I havent acheived. Goodluck!!

    That's what I did, so I can't see why not :p

Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
A: Your heart only good for so many beats, and that it...don't waste on exercise. Everything wear out eventually. Speeding up heart not make you live longer; it like saying you extend life of car by driving faster. Want to live longer? Take nap.

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiency. What does cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So steak is nothing more than efficient mechanismof delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef also good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And pork chop can give you 100% of recommended daily allowance of vegetable product.

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that mean they take water out of fruity bit so you get even more of goodness that way. Beer also made of grain. Bottom up!

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have body and you have fat, your ratio one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio two to one, etc.

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No pain...good!

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
A: YOU NOT LISTENING! Food are fried these day in vegetable oil. In fact, they permeated by it. How could getting more vegetable be bad for you?!?

    Q
: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
A: Definitely not! When you exercise muscle, it get bigger. You should only be doing sit-up if you want bigger stomach.

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy?!? HEL-LO-O!! Cocoa bean! Another vegetable! It best feel-good food around!

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming good for your figure, explain whale to me..

Q: Is getting in shape important for my lifestyle?

    A: Hey! 'Round' a shape!

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

Fay, it's just a small hiccup, one night in many and the most encouraging thing is that you are aware of what you are doing and you self monitor.
Don't beat yourself up and enjoy the time with your OH.

I'm away for the weekend again so I'll see you all monday.

  • Afternoon all!

    PAYDAY!!!!!!!:j:j:rotfl::T

Sorry, feel like I've been waiting for it for a month!:rotfl:During the year I pay into a savings scheme through my wages and they give us it back in December. So lots of shopping to be done this weekend!

Wasn't AF last night...had two glasses of wine and then wanted to fall asleep so didn't drink any more.

Fay - don't worry, you are doing brilliantly this month. Don't let one night get you down.

Jo - love the jokes. Most def going to nick em and send em on!

Been and done my Mrs Mop Job this morning. Just got back, in for an hour and then off out to post an ebay parcel and buy a christmas tree! (homebase have them half price!). Then off to work for four hours before doing food shopping and then home. Phew...I'm tired just thinking about it!!!

Hope everything is having a good friday!

    Miss P
