  • Anyone got a cure for puffy red eyes. Seriously . I cannot face the school run or work if my eyelids don't calm down. Any tips would be greatly appreciated .

    Thanks

OK, before bed clean your face, irrespective of whether you wear make-up or not, a good cleanse is vital

If you have eye cream pat gently round the eye socket in an inner to outer eye direction. If you don't have an eye cream DO NOT use ordinary moisteriser but try a gentle patting round the eye socket anyway

Put a wet flannel in a freezer bag or similar & put in the fridge for the morning

Try to sleep. I understand that's easier said than done right now

After shower/wash/whatever apply chilled flannel for a few minutes

Repeat earlier eye ceam advice if you have eye cream

Eye drops can help if you have used them before & know which work for you. If not, this is not the time to try them. A cotton wool pad soaked in cooled eye make-up remover or toner can also help if stroked NOT RUBBED over the eye

    Hope any of this helps

    xx

  • YM,
Thanks for your PM . I have tried to reply but keep losing it:mad:

My mum has suffered lots of illnesses in the last 25 yrs.. Heart attack @ 45 :eek: ( I am 44) , cancer , stroke plus lots other things. She has always pulled through in the past but this time it feels different . I can hear it in my dad's voice. It does not help that I am hundreds of miles away.

Thank you for your kind wishes . It really does help.

    Thank you
